Ryan's POV

I was fingering the bite mark on my neck, it felt amazing to have it there and each time I touched it tingles would spring up from it moving throughout my body. I was lying on the backseat of the car as Erik drove us home.

My blackout after he marked me wasn’t supposed to happen and it took Erik about twenty minutes to wake me up. He has been tense and stressed, panicked and on edge since I came back to consciousness and our lustful moment was lost.

My entire body was numb and weak, I could hardly lift my head up far enough to look out the window to see how fast we were actually driving but from what I could hear and feel we were far past the speeding limit.

“Ryan, don’t fall asleep, okay?” Erik ordered his voice strained. He looked back at me and smiled but it didn't reach his eyes. I turned my back against him and buried my face into the seat and begged my eyes to not tear up. Since I woke up I haven’t felt myself and the way Erik was reacting was freaking me out.

He marked me as his and everything flew out the window as soon as I blacked out. I thought that maybe we would have done IT but I don’t think that will ever happen now, when he carried me to the car he was afraid to touch me, he kept me away from his body and carried me at arm’s length as if he didn't want to touch me. And that alone pained my heart more since I was now bonded to him forever.

“Scott, I need you to call the doctor and have him waiting at the door. We’re on our way home,” Erik said into what I presume is his phone. Erik paused listening to Scott’s reply. “I'm not stupid Scott, I know I could have asked through the mind link...I’ll tell you when I get there and tell everyone to shut it off.” He whispered the last part and shut the phone.

I closed my eyes not feeling like I wanted to even be here anymore, I felt so empty and dead inside, like something was sucking my soul out of me. I stared at the bracelet around my wrist, admiring its beauty. It wasn’t burning me anymore like it did when Erik and I were making out but there were light pink marks around my wrist as if the bracelet had entered my skin.

“Ryan?” Erik asked, I ignored him, closing my eyes and pretending to be asleep. I didn't want to talk and I wanted to remember this moment for how amazing it was and not what it turned into. Erik’s phone started ringing.

“Yeah...Okay, we’ll be there in about ten minutes...No she’s asleep.” I heard him say to the person on the other end of that call. There was a longer pause and the car suddenly sped up even more. “What do you mean they have been trying to find me? I would have felt them searching for me, connecting with me.” He almost roared down the phone. I shut my eyes even tighter and tried to thinking of something else besides this.

The tires screeched on the pavement as Erik suddenly slammed on the brakes, my body jolted forwards sending my body into the seats, I yelp and pushed myself up into a sitting position. My door was thrown open and Erik had me in his arms in one swift move and was carrying me into the house.

“I'm sorry,” he murmured into my hair as he held me tight to his chest. The door was already open and Scott and the doctor were waiting anxiously for us.

“Tell me exactly what happened?” The doctor ask walking along side Erik, the doctor was studying me and I knew from the way his eyes watched me that he was doing inventory of how I appeared.

At this moment I didn't care what was happening, I felt like crawling into a whole and just fading away in it. I didn't care what they did to me or what was happening to me. All that mattered was that I remembered how amazing the date was and nothing else.
