A New Family

Part 1 - Adoption

My dad SuicidalCedric helped me make this via Google Docs because dad says "You shouldn't start sentences with because and or but." He he butt... And he says I never use commas whatever those are... So he helped me.

Also I want to say thanks a bunch to -CrystalWolfDragon- for making the cover for me. On his/her (sorry I can't tell if your a boy or a girl) cover shop book. Since I don't know how...

Yujin walked through the side walks with a backpack. He was going home from school when he remembered something his teacher assigned to them in school.
"I have an assignment for all of you. For the semester break, you have to adopt a child for the entire break."

Yujin sighed "Do I really have to adopt a child? I mean I'm 19... But I guess what's homework is homework... And it so happens I know the perfect place to go."

Yujin turned a corner and walked down the block a little until he stopped. He looked across the street and stared at a small orphanage.

He took a deep breath with a small smile, "It's been a long time..."

Yujin crossed the street and walked up to the orphanage. He gently pressed the doorbell and heard a ring from behind the door. A few seconds later, he heard footsteps from behind the door. The door was opened by an old lady at who was about 50-years-old. She looked unamused at first, but when she looked up, her eyes lit up.

Yujin smiled at her, "Hello, obaa-chan"

She put her hands on Yujin's shoulders, "Yujin-san! Look at you! You've grown so much!"

Yujin scratched the back of his head, a little embarrassed at the woman's excited behavior,

"Y-yeah. I guess it's been a long time."

She looked surprised, "Been a long time? It's been over six years since you left the orphanage."

"He he. Yeah. I guess it has been a long time."

She gave him a smile, "So what brings you back, Yujin-san? Just coming to visit?"

Yujin shook his head, "No actually..." He explained that he needed to adopt a child for the semester break.

"Huh. I see." She turned around and yelled into the orphanage, "Children! Would you mind coming into the living room?"

Lovely's POV

We heard grandmother call us to the living room. I brought my little sister Heart with me as all the orphans entered the living room.

Heart's cat ears twitched nervously before she gently tugged on my tail, "Onee-san... What's going on?"

"Grandmother's just calling us to the living room." I replied.

She looked down, "W-will the others make fun if us again...?"

I stayed silent, not knowing how to reply to her.

All the children sat on the floor in the living room. When the grandmother said, "Alright children. I want you to meet someone... Please come in."

Then I saw a boy with black hair and grey streaks walk in. Sunlight reflected against his hair as he wiped his forehead.

Grandmother gestured at him, "This is Yujin he's 19. He used to be an orphan here, but he left at the age if 13. And now he's here to adopt one of you for the semester break."

The children started chattering, wanting to be adopted even if it's just the semester break. I slouched, knowing that he definitely wouldn't adopt either me or Heart.

Grandmother looked at him, "Go, meet the child you want to adopt for a while."

He looked around the room, all the children's eyes locked onto him. He started walking while looking around the room. Then he walked into a table knocking a ball of yarn onto the floor near his feet.

I covered my mouth, resisting the urge to run and grab the ball of yarn. Heart wasn't so controlled. She pounced and grabbed the ball of yarn. On instinct I chased after her and grabbed her. Then I looked up and stared into the boy's eyes.

Yujin's POV

After dropping a ball of yarn, two girls with cat ears and tails ran at my feet. I stared at the older one as she looked up at me.
(Lovely)

While the younger one just scratched her ears.

(Heart)

"Hm. Are you two sisters?" I asked.
The older one continued staring at me before timidly nodding. I turned around and faced grandmother.

"Obaa-chan. Them. I'll take them." I said.

She nodded, "If that's what you want." She turned to face the two girls, "Lovely, Heart. Grab your things your being adopted."

Lovely's POV

"A-adopted? The two of us? No way!"

I immediately stood up and bowed at him "T-thank you. We'll go grab our things."

I grabbed Heart and went to pack our things.

So uh. That's all for now. Dad said he had a headache and he needed some rest. And I'm dependent on dad when it comes to stories. Because as you can see it's horrible. But I'll post it anyway cause I'm here now!
