Chapter 1 - Piña colada

It is the last semester of class already, And I still want it not to be over yet since I still lack the skills to master the orb technique.

"Hey, I thought you have a shoot this coming monday, what magazine did book you again?" That was Lush, whom I deeply owed,since her family welcomed me sincerely since that event. If I could even change my surname in my birth certificate, I would fully embrace their family name willingly, but it was said in the coven rule that it was prohibited since every family has their distinct line of magic and me as an orphan don't have a bit of their magical inheritance. 

" Its vogue, and I think I want to postpone it bec. I still haven't mastered the orb technique yet".I also took a job as a model in the human world to support my self while hiding during semester breaks.I also hide my identity by posing as an Associate, which is called for the apprentice to be students. Each mage is accompanied by an apprentice, who are a kinder term for private bodyguard/helper of a mage, though in rare cases some associate developes fully their magic making them a Mage and ranking them equal with them.Novitiate is the term for students who were born with fully developed magic, most if these students were born to a powerful mage parents. I am a Novitiate hiding in an associate skin by the way named Adrias Oli, an offspring of a commoner and apprentice which is also equivalent to being an insignificant/unimportant/ impotent member of the magical realm, a good low-key cover indeed. I have been wearing a charmed necklace to glamour my identity.

" You know If I were in your position I would have dropped out from the school and stop pretending to be somebody and live the life of a supermodel". Our line of conversaton is Always constant, she insisting that I have a good future ahead of me ,stop pretending to be someone and at least in the human world I am not risking my life , the rumors have been inconsistent but the story line goes like this, When I was a baby our kingdom was attacked by soldiers from different territory which hasn't been identified until now, leaving me as the last desecendant of my family line. When that happened I have been in the care of my nanny, whom later discovered is a part of other allience. She kept me as a hostage against my parents. The reason still haven't been discovered yet. And I plan to be included in the mystic circle, which are a group of mages that have been chosen by the council for their powers. The 5 most astounding mages will be have a position in the government, I thought being in that circle would give me a chance to unveil the murderer. 

As we rounded down the stairs of the library connected to the hallway. She said "You know sooner or later they will found out about you, since the last trial would include novitiate to undergo through unveiling." Unveiling is a test in which the seated mystic to go through your mind, which is done to prevent an evil person to take hold of a high position in the coven . After that each of the members will fight against you to test if you really deserved to be in the position. " I will think about that when the time comes but right now I have a goal to achieve." Right then the crowd is starting to get noisy as the famous group of student mages filled the hallway. I introduce to you the group of what we Lush call the leeches, since they became popular because of their parents position in the coven. We have grown up with them . The group consists of 5 groups of people, the one who has a petite blonde girl in his arm is the head of the group is named Caleb who is the son of the black mage, the head of the mystic circle. The male blonde with icy blue eyes who has a girl cornered at the locker, is Isaac. The second in command ,He actually have a twin brother which looks alot like him well except that the other twin's hair is white and he is faster considering that he is already doing some action in janitor's closet, his name is Anthony. The black haired with blue streaks who is focused on his tablet is Erik . The last one would be Grey, who is currently missing in action. It was Isaac who talked first" Hey, Erik where did Grey go? I thought we all agreed to go to the club to meet some chicks?" "To the Karate club, man he can't really drop the extra curricular  man. His mother will kill him. Besides he will compete next week. The toll on him is really great man." That was the only conversation that I have heard since we already reached the car park. " Ugh! Its really irritating whenever we are dismissed late, We have to squeeze ourselves out to the parking lot due to the oggling girls in the hallway." Lush and I are actually dismissed earlier than "the leeches" and we are kind of thankful for not bumping with them and not let them know us since it will only cause a deferral because we will pledge next week to a fraternity headed by Chloe, the blonde girl who is in the arm of Caleb. " So, after you go to Mr. Canor. Can we go to the club later? I will let my Mum know pretty please?" I always go to Mr. Canor to replenish charm of the necklace, it actually have a limit which is 5 days , by then the charm will worn off. And it's just Mr. Canor who can do the glamour charm since like me, he is the last descendant of his line.
