"Jade! Come on! We have to go to Eleaner and Izaak's house for the day!" My dad tells me. This has happened a lot. Ever since my mum died. We've had to go to my mum and dad's friends a lot more than I used to. Don't get me wrong, I love hanging out with them! But, we rely on them too much. It's been a month since my mum passed away. Everyday, me and dad have to go to one of my parents' friend's house's. They're all like my other parents, they help me with things and always has funny stories about my mum or they have songs . But, I heard that Eleaner and Izaak are moving to Canada soon. I can tell that dad will miss them.
A few hours later, I'm playing with Lily, she's Eleaner and Izaak's daughter. She's more like her mum personality wise but has her dad's looks. Her two brothers, Mark and Sean look more like both of them.
Anyways, I'm playing with Lily and I hear my dad talking with Izaak. All I hear is "She was pregnant with our second before she died.". Wait. I would have had a younger sibling? I lean closer to Lily and I whisper "Do you hear mine and your dad talking?". She looks at me with a weird expression. "Yeah. Why?" She questions me quietly. "They're talking about my mum... They're saying that I could've had a little sibling!" I respond, still whispering. "Oh, wow!" She whispers back enthusiastically. I quietly stand up and walks over to the wall so I can hear better. "Yeah. It would've been a little girl..." I hear my dad explain to Izaak. "Oh. So you lost your wife and your unborn daughter..." Izaak responds with a sombre tone of voice. Oh...i would have had a little sister...now I really want to meet her... "Yeah. And, Jade reminds me of Isabelle so much..." I hear my dad choke out. He's trying to hold back the tears, I can tell...
When we get back, my dad goes straight to his room. I just sit on the couch, staring at the wall. When, my phone goes of. (Ping). Oh. It's Lily. "Hey, Jade. Just wanted to let you know, me, my brothers and parents are moving to Canada in a few days. Sorry to tell you this late. Lily °•°." The message reads. Oh. Great.
