“Hurry up!” I shouted at my cousin. Shay rolled her eyes. It had been a long ride to London and Shay was tired of me; I had been complaining and talking nonstop through the entire trip. She was dropping me off at the train station where I would meet Ron. I was beyond excited; I was practically bouncing up and down in my seat. I wanted to see him so badly. I wondered if he would be surprised when he saw me. I had spent the two weeks at the beach with my cousin Lacey. I had gotten tan and the sun had made me hair at least three shades lighter. It was almost completely brown now. I had also lost a little weight. I pulled at my clothes. I was dressed in a black and white plaid tank top tucked into a pair of yellow high wasted shorts. I looked down at my gray converse and sighed. Why couldn’t Shay drive faster? I stared at the back at her head. Her shoulder length caramel hair fluttered in the breeze due to the open window.
“Could you drive any slower?” I whined.
“Kayla shut your mouth,” Shay sighed. I let out a loud groan and rolled my eyes. I knew I was acting like a four year old but I wanted to see Ron really badly. After what seemed like hours and hours (but was really only eleven minutes) we pulled up to the station. I got out of the car without waiting for Shay and took off running. I ran into the station pushing past people. I was carrying my suitcases and Aria’s cage as I ran. I looked around; was he not here? I looked around. The station wasn’t too crowded but I didn’t spot the Weasleys anywhere. I sighed and set down my bags. Maybe they were late? I bit my lip and wrapped my arms around myself. I looked around and decided to sit down and wait for Shay. I reached down to grab my bags when something caught my wrist. I was suddenly spun around and face to face with Ron. He pulled me to him in a tight hug. His lips brushed mine once before he set me down. I took the time to study him. He was taller and had more freckles. His hair had grown a little longer. I smiled; he was still cute as ever. He was dressed as a muggle in jeans. I spotted the twins behind him. Ron brushed my cheek with his fingers.
“I missed you so much,” He said pulling me to him again. I was still the same height and now I was even shorter than him. He put his chin on my head and inhaled. I had purposely picked a sweet smelling shampoo. We pulled apart and I gave him a huge smile. He pulled me to his side as the twins approached us.
“Hey love birdies,” Fred began. I knew Ron must have had to deal with a lot of teasing. I rolled my eyes at Fred.
“Hey Freddie,” I greeted him. I moved to give him a hug. Ron seemed reluctant to let me go but he did. I hugged George and he ruffled my hair. I smoothed down and glared at him.
“Remember me?” I heard Shay’s voice. I rolled my eyes.
“How could I forget?” I replied. I turned to face the boys. “This is my cousin Shay,” I introduce her. Ron shakes her hand.
“Ron Weasley,” he says. The twins also shake her hand.
“Alright be good and write me every day. Take good care of her,” Shay advised Ron. He nodded. “And if you hurt her,” Shay began to warn. I rolled my eyes. Shay was almost smaller than me.
“I wouldn’t dream of it,” Ron told her honestly. Shay nodded. She leaned over and gave me a kiss on the cheek. She waved and I watched her walk away.
“Come on we’d better get going,” Fred says.
“Where’s the rest of the crew?” I ask.
“Everyone’s working the store,” George answers.
“Everyone but the owners?” I ask raising an eyebrow.
“That’s right babe,” Ron winks at me. He leans down, kissed my forehead, and grabs my luggage. We walk out to the parking lot and climb in Mr. Weasley’s old car. Fred drove to the shop.
