Chapter 7: Escape

Jude snuck into the nun's quarters, she walked silently too the end of the long room where Mary was sleeping. She slowly bent down beside her bed and stroked Mary's hair, coaxing her awake.

"Jude?" Mary asked quietly.

"Its me.." Jude answered.

"What are you doing here?" Mary asked rubbing her eyes.

"Are you ready." Jude asked softly. Mary nodded and silently crawled out of bed.

"Gather your things and meet me in my office...." Jude said lastly before slipping out of Mary's quarters. Mary silently put on her shoes and pulled out a bag from under her bed with all her belongings. She started for the door, she looked back over her shoulder, for what would be the last time she ever saw this place again. She sighed quietly and slipped out of the room without anyone noticing. She walked silently like a shadow down all the hallways until she reached Jude's office. A small candle light shone through under the door. Mary Eunice opened the door open a crack and slipped in.

Jude popped her head out from her room and smiled at Mary.

"We are almost ready..." Jude said softly disappearing back into her room.

"Alright..." Mary answered back. She looked around the office and then at Jude when she came out of her room with a duffle bag and hand bag. She was smiling brightly.

"Take the bags too my car, Start it. I will go get Lana. Please be safe..." She said handing Mary her bags.

"Don't worry Sister." Mary smiled assuring Jude it wasn't going too be an issue. And it wasnt she managed too get out without being seen.

"Lana let's go." Jude whispered shaking Lana. She jumped awake.

"Mary is in the car. Hurry up, get yourself up." Jude said.

"Im ready, I'm ready..." Lana answered back quietly. Jude took Lana's hand in hers and pulled her out of her cell hurriedly walking down all the corridors. They were walking through the mens ward as a quicker way too the stairs and they heard a couple pairs of footsteps and loud voices.

"Dr.Arden is ready for Mr. Reynolds now...Go get him from his cell." A familiar voice commanded. It was Timothy. Jude's eyes widened and a shiver went down her spine. But unlike him Jude knew this place like the back of her hand, She took a quick right still holding on tightly to Lana's hand and the disappeared into the darkness.

"Judy...." Lana asked but Jude stormed on. "Jude..."
"Stop please!" Lana said loudly making Jude jump. Lana stood infront of her.

"You are hurting me." He hissed pulling her hand away from Jude. Jude turned away from her and kept walking.

"That's it...." Lana piped up lightly jogging up too Jude.

"We have no time for this, You are either coming with me or staying here." Jude answered back sternly, keeping her fast pace. Lana called her name 3 more times but got no answer.

"Judy Martin if you love me at all you will stop walking." Lana called down too Jude. Jude slowed from a furious strode to a slow waltz. She slowly turned around and look at Lana over her shoulder.

"You don't get to do that." Jude said crackily. "Im leaving now. So if you're coming, let's go. But if you're staying....I guess this is goodbye..." Jude said finally starting to walk toward a secret exit she had found many years ago. Jude reached the door and Lana was still stood in her place.

"This is your last chance. Are you coming or not..." Just asked her sternly. Lana stayed quiet. Without another word Jude cracked open the thick metal door and slid out the little opening, closing the door behind her. When outside she took a deep breath of the fresh air and let tears fill her eyes. Lana bailed on her...just like everyone else. She was gone. Jude bowed her head leting her tears fall. She heard a stick snap behind her and before she could turn around 2 hands were wrapped around her neck and her head slammed off the hard brick wall of the asylum. She fell too the ground the person falling with her. The being fell into the moon light and Jude let out an excruciating scream.

Lana's POV

I made the right decision, I could have never left with her. She didn't want me, she didn't love me, I didn't love her. NO yes you did, she did love you.

Lana raged silently kicking the wall. Tears fell down her face. Just then she heard Jude's scream. She ran too the door she just left out, and swung in open. Jude was lying on the ground her head and hair stained with blood. Something was hovering over her and she was struggling too get up. Lana panicked, without any second thoughts she tackled the thing too the ground and yelled for Jude too get up.

"GO TOO THE CAR JUDE!" Lana screamed battling with the half dead human experiment. Jude stumbled too her feet, holding onto her head as everything spun around her. She looked over dazed, and saw Lana fighting the monster. She reached into the pocket of her habit and pulled out a little Foe Diecast she had bought secretly after the whole Timothy accident. She pointed the stubbed nose right at the monsters head, she squeezed the trigger a puff of smoke momentarily blurred her vision, within seconds of the shot, thr monster collapsed to the ground, brains splattered on the ground and on Lana. Lana laid on the ground in shock. Jude began to sway holding her head. Lana slowly got too her feer and walked up too Jude. She slowly took the gun out of her hand and whipped it as hard as she could into the woods. She looped her arm under Jude's helping her walk too the front of the building. Lana saw where Mary was parked and hurriedly walked towards thr car basically dragging Jude with her. She threw open the passanger door and slowly lowered Jude into the front seat. She shut the door and hoppen into the back. Mary sat in the drivers seat petrified.

"Drive." Lana said emotionless.
