It was hard for you to adapt to a new school. To a new place.
You so far has always been in the same place.
You never went anywhere else. Always stayed at your hometown, not going anywhere even for vacation.
But after your parents divorced, your dad wanted to start a new and decided to move from the only place you knew.
A new place. . .
The idea of somewhere new made you nervous.
Being unfamiliar with your surroundings and meeting new people scared you. You're a very shy person, so you knew it was going to be hard to befriend anyone while you're here.
But you guessed on the bright side, you were sort of excited to finally go somewhere different. You always stayed at your town and envy the kids that went somewhere cool and far from home on vacation.
You never got to experience the thrilling experience in exploring a new place but now you can.
But not on a vacation.
Instead you're going to stay at the unfamiliar place for awhile.
The unfamiliar place that's now your home.
You sigh at the thought.
You're going to miss your old home, but life is full of changes and you need to accept the change.
With another long sigh, you continued walking.
To where?
Your new school.
It was an arts school and your here to learn more about singing, dancing, painting, etc.
Mostly acting.
You walked a couple of more blocks and stop when you were face to face in front of the gates of your new school.
The school looked old, but it was huge.
There was 6 floors and there had to be more than 30 rooms on one floor.
The walls were dirty with dirt and the color of the school was a plain beige, but a spot on the wall was filled with a beautiful mural.
at least it makes the school a bit nice.
You walked through the gates, clutching your bag straps very tightly.
You arrived to school very early.
So the front of the school was empty. There was a security guard near the gates, but he didn't pay attention to you.
You kept walking and was now climbing up the steps to the entrance. You open the door and then bam!
No one.
Besides a few teachers, that also didn't pay attention to you.
Seems like I'm the only student here.
You decided to go search for your homeroom class, so at least no one's around to see you looking a like a fool trying to find your class.
_______
30 minutes later
oh my gosh! this school is like a maze!
You were frustrated as you been walking around the school for 30 minutes trying to find your homeroom.
There were teachers around, but you were too shy to ask, so you kept walking around trying to find your homeroom.
