Trigger warning.

William's P.O.V

She's gone. Everything I fought to protect over the last 6 years is gone. My daughter, Grace, I hope she is in a better place now.

"William, it's time to go." Grell patted my shoulder, a signal that it was time for the funeral, my daughters' funeral. I looked at him and saw he was in an all black suit with a single red rose in his top pocket. If I wasn't heartbroken, I would have told him how amazing he looked. I nodded my head and we drove to the church.

~Time skip cause I've never been to a funeral and idk~

I looked at the cold slab of stone that was over my daughter's grave. It read;

GRACE SPEARS
2011-2017
A BEAUTIFUL AND CARING CHILD, WHO WILL BE MISSED DEARLY.

I couldn't help but let my tears fall.

-Another Time skip cause I'm lazy and stuff-

After the wake I was slightly tipsy. I went home, Grell close behind me and opened a bottle of alcohol. I didn't care what it was, as long as it was strong.

"William, you probably shouldn't." Grell warned and I brushed him off. He hasn't had one drink in the last few days.

"You should have a drink!" I shouted louder than necessary. Ok maybe I was a little more than tipsy.

"William, no. You need to calm down before you do anything stupid." I laughed a little, my ex who walked out on me because he misunderstood the situation.

"Like this?" I questioned with a smirk before kissing the readhead. To my shock he pushed me away.

"William you're drunk. You don't know what you're doing." He warned and I stood up, dizzy yet confident.

"Fine then I'm going to do something useful." Grell frowned as I stormed out my of my house and to the local park. It was a nice quiet park, with a play area for children and a deep lake. In summer ducks would swim in the lake but now it's winter it's partially frozen and there wasn't a soul in sight.

I sat on a frosty bench looking at the murky water, it finally hit me. There's no going back. Everyone who loved me is dead and there is nothing I can do about it. Grell doesn't care, he just rejected me after all.
I stood up and silently walked closer to the lake. The silence was lost when I accidentally stepped on a piece of glass, the sharp edges giving me a stupid, drunken idea. I picked a piece up and rolled up my sleeve.

Maybe this pain would make the other pain go away?

I ran the glass across my wrist, causing a trickle of blood to drop onto the icy floor. I hissed slightly at the pain before repeating the action multiple times in each wrist. Tears continued to fall down my face as I continued to overthink and make stupid decisions. I took my coat off to wake me up a little, the blood loss causing me to get drowsy. Black dots clouded my vision as I began to fall.

Grell's P.O.V

I pushed William away so he wouldn't do anything he would regret, causing him to storm out. After about half an hour and he hadn't returned I decided to go out and look for him. I watched in horror as I found the brunette as he fell into the lake. I ran to the edge only to be surrounded by small pools of blood and some broken glass.
Fully knowing that if I jumped in the lake the temperature would kill me, I called the emergency services before diving into the partially frozen lake.
