In Between

"Happy 17 Birthday Kyley !" everybody screamed .

OMG ! I shouted." you guys remembered my birthday!"

"how could we forget" said a kinda familiar voice

I wasn't able to register who it was because before I knew it I was pulled into a kiss by the soft lips I knew who it was .

it was my boyfriend Shawn of 11 months we met after I babysat his best friend Nash's younger sister skylynn.

I pushed away from him and giggled as I looked into his amazing brown eyes that had a line of amber and gold I felt like I was in a trace and then came out of it when Hayes shook me and skylynn jumped into my arms these were Nash's siblings I also met Shawn after I met Hayes .Hayes had a band and needed a boy and girl lead singer .shawn and I had met at my audition for the lead singers of his band . Shawn and I got the part and ever since Shawn and I have been dating.

I looked at sky and I realized she was wearing a gorgeous diamond jewelry set and at that moment my babysitting instincts came over me and I said skylynn were you playing dress up in your moms closet again she said no and at that moment Shawn said its for you I looked at him and said yeah right like I could afford that Shawn and I leaned into him laughing he stayed stiff and that was when I realized he wasn't joking I looked him in the eyes and said what do you mean he said "happy birthday .I love you !"and reached over to skylynn and took off the jewelry she had on and put it on me and as he put on the necklace I realized how lucky I really was I looked up at him as he latched the clasp on the necklace and gave him a kiss and stopped to say I love you more Shawn.

chapter 2

after the party everybody went to the beach it was still light out and we played a quick game of soccer of course me and Shawn were play fighting and pushing each other and after my victorious win I looked at Shawn and said why me what made. you like me and he said your weird and I said no really what made you like me pick me and he said well you love my family as much as I do and you are like no one else in the best way possible but in some way your like me and you make me feel special and I like making you feel the same

right at that moment I started to lean into a kiss but I was stopped when a soccer ball hit me straight in my head. I fell straight to the ground .

chapter 3

I was woken up by a cold ice pack that Someone was placing on my head.i opened my eyes and saw many people around me . I also smelled many chemicals and disinfectants . the light was overbearing because after a minute I closed my eyes and leaned back into a comfy bed .that's when it hit me I woke up and called for someone . this boy arrived at my side and I didn't know him but I asked where was I and he said the emergency room I asked why and he said I was hit in the head with a soccer ball then when I fell I landed on a big rock on the beach . when I asked who was he and and how did he know that a sad face came on his face and he stammered Kyley I'm Shawn your boyfriend . I told him I didn't remember him and I asked why was he crying he didn't answer me because the doctor pulled him aside and said Shawn you can't push her to try to remember you it needs to come back naturally she has a major concussion there's nothing that you can do besides let her memory come back ..... I tried to listen to the rest but all I kept hearing was beeps and whispering amongst me I didn't recognize anyone that was surrounding me .but which got me confused was when this older lady came rushing in saying Kyley Kyley I'm here don't worry . I turned to these girls and I asked them who they were and they said Kyley it's me christina and cathy I was so confused then I said who's Kyley and they burst into tears . I had no clue what was going on everybody was sad and the lady rushed in and gave me a big hug and said it's okay I tried to ask who she was but then she was also pulled away by the doctor and the boy that said his name was Shawn And they explained to her and she also burst into tears and hugged Shawn and thanked him . I tried to ask people what was going on but no one answered then my vision turned black and I heard a bunch of yelling......

chapter 4

when I woke up I had a bunch of people in white coats surrounding me and I was hooked up to many machines . I also had Shawn and the lady who said she was my mom looking down at me with puffy eyes like if they had been crying . I didn't remember them at all but when Shawn gave me a kiss on my hand I felt something familiar . was it love? I didn't know since I didn't remember what that felt like . I was so confused but when I tried to ask questions I was shushed by the doctors saying rest but don't fall asleep . I tried to sit upwards but felt A flip in my stomach and got really dizzy .Shawn got the doctor and sat on the bed while they made me take a blood test to see if my vials had changed . the whole time he held my hand and it was awkward at first then it felt right like our hands were puzzle pieces that matched and were finally were put together . but I still did remember him but his brown eyes that sparkled did help me try to remember him but I couldn't I felt so bad I started to cry and he pulled me to his chest and said I don't care what I have to do but whatever it is I will make you remember me . i love you and what ever it takes I will make you realize that . I looked up at him and felt so helpless so vulnerable and just so loved ....

chapter 5

after a bunch of tests and hours I was finally let out of the hospitals watchful eyes and was allowed to go home . when I got home I had a girl named Caitlyn come over to my house with an edible fruit basket that had a bunch strawberries which I think was my favorite fruit as I was told. and she helped me try to remember everybody's names by holding up pictures of people I supposedly knew in my life . when she held up a picture of this girl in a red dress with a tan trench coat and black boots while wearing a side fishtail braid. and holding a teenage boys hand while leaning into him

laughing . she looked so happy that it made me smile then Caitlyn said that's you and your boyfriend Shawn do you remember anything about him ,that name . does that name ring a bell . I shook my head. anything, anything at all , are you sure . I shook my head again . she looked down with disappointment . and then perked up when she realized I was trying to figure out what was wrong. as she was asking me another question. a guy burst through the door saying where is she .where's Kyley ! when he saw me kneeled down to my level and said I am so sorry I was at my grandmas house are you okay . his blue eyes put me in a trance , I was memorized until he said kaia are you okay? I said all I could to a stranger which was yeah I am okay i guess but a little confused. I don't want to be rude but who are you?????.........

sorry I know these are really short chapters so anyways hope you enjoy!!!

Kyley ,I'm Nash one of your best friends said Nash . his blue eyes were full of concern . I just kept staring at him my mind was playing what he said over and over like a record . Kyley ,I'm Nash one of your best friends. i was trying so hard to see if I could remember him the slightest bit. but I couldn't . I couldnt say anything besides . I'm sorry I don't remember you . he looked at me then at Caitlyn . Caitlyn pulled him aside and said " Nash she lost her memory . she has a major concussion .she doesn't remember anybody not her mom not me not you not skylynn not Hayes not Shawn not even herself . the doctor thinks it will comeback naturally but we can't force her to remember things. even if we can't help It . and if it doesn't come back who knows what's going to happen to her . but we cant give up on her she needs our help . Nash started to tear up then stopped himself to say how can I help. Caitlyn's face lit up and said here ask her about these people in the photos as she handed the photos to him. then Caitlyn turned to me and said kaia Nash is going to ask you questions since I have to run to the store to get your prescription for the cut on your head. I reached up to my forehead and felt a Band aid .i gave her a confused look and she told me how when I hit the rock I had got a slice on my forehead and just to make sure it didn't get infected I had to take antibiotics . then she left . as Nash was quizzing me he made me laugh and smile . he seemed boyfriend material so I thought hey he was my boyfriend and that means he still is so I looked at him and said ya know your the best boyfriend ever . I love you. after I said that his smile faded and turned into a worried look but he also looked frantic and panicked. and that's when Caitlyn appeared.
