Right when I was about to sleep again someone knocked politely on my door and opened it. Adam came in and sat down on my bed, being careful not to sit on me.
He stroked my head softly and I acted like I would sleep.
"Good morning sister dear! How did you sleep?"
I sighed and mumbled a "Don't even ask..."
Before I covered my face with my blanket I saw Adam pressing concerned his pines.
"Nightmares?" He asked and I nodded my head yes.
"We should go back to your psychologist. He said if it happens again, even after this year, we would come back." Adam pointed out.
"No, it's not necessary yet. I want to observe it a few days and then we still can go back to him." I tried to convince him. I didn't want to go back to him or any other psychologist. They couldn't help me. It was always the same shit.
Adam didn't say anything. It was obvious that he didn't consider it as a good idea but he knew that I would win a discussion anyway.
"I'm going to go downtown today. Is that okay? There's a lot of stuff to do..." My brother said.
"Yeah, no problem." I mumbled, still tired.
After a while he went outside and closed the door. I sighed again.
Then my gaze was caught by my old surfboard on the wardrobe and there came an idea in my mind. I knew what I would do today.
Standing on my stool I tried to reach the surfboard. But it was pointless. I was simply too small. To dispel my anger I struck the wardrobe with my fist.
"No reason to strike this poor wardrobe! Can I help you?" I shocked and turned around to see Blake leaning casually against the doorframe, just like yesterday. I almost lost my balance and fell down but in the last second I could hold me.
Blake giggled. How embarrassing. Again.
"Well, yeah, that would be very nice." I said after I calmed down.
He came closer and I jumped off the stool. "What did you try to reach? The surfboard?" Blake already pulled it down without big effort.
I thanked him.
"Welcome." He winked. "You'll go surfing today?"
"Yeah, it looks like that." I pointed at the surfboard.
"Do you have a second one?" He asked and before I could think abut the consequences I answered "Yes, there must be another one in Adam's room."
Now when I said the words I probably thought the same thing as Blake, because he said delighted "Cool! Then let's take it and you can teach me!"
I rolled my eyes but he already went outside the room. "Are you coming?"
Reluctantly I followed him to Adam's room. "But what if I don't want to teach you?" I asked.
"Then I'll watch you until I know how it works."
The imagination of Blake watching me the whole day made me blush another time and I looked shyly to the ground.
"I knew I could convince you." He grinned at me.

After a five minutes walk we arrived at the beautiful and lonely beach. A gentle wind greeted us. We both already wore our surf clothes - Blake had borrowed Adam's - and Blake had insisted on him carrying my surfboard as well.
