Just assume it's going to always be in Mark's pov unless I change it. The pov stays until I change it again after too though. FYI

I wanted to check up on Sean. He was taken to hospital and apparently woke up earlier today. My excuse was that I needed to ask him a few questions before the detectives got here but the main reason was that I was drawn to him in some way.

"Hey Mark, you heading to the hospital?" Felix asked, running up to me as I walked to my car.

"Yeah, I need to ask Sean a few questions," I replied, not stopping as he walked by my side.

"Cool, I'll come with you and can we go to the ward after. I want to check up on Cry," Felix said. I looked at him confused.

"Cry?" I asked.

"Oh, Ryan. He prefers to be called Cry though," Felix said with a smile.

"Alright," I said. I had a hunch something was happening between the two of them. Felix would visit Cry every day when he got the chance to. That is expected though since Felix was the one that found Cry to begin with and Cry must feel secure with him. It's why I agree to let him go there.

"Have you heard anything from the doctors yet about Sean?" Felix asked as we neared the hospital.

"Not much. Apparently he hasn't said a word since we found him," I said with a frown.

"Cry was the same. He might have been shocked into silence and can't force any words out. Cry snapped out of his mute state after a few days. He might as well though, I don't think Cry suffered from torture as long as him. Cry was only captured for a few months. It seems as though Sean was tortured for years," Felix said sadly.

"Yeah," was all I said as we pulled into a parking spot. We were quiet as we walked inside and asked for Sean's room. It was on the third floor so we took the elevator, wanting to be quick. I knocked on the door before slowly opening it and entering.

"Hey Sean. How are you feeling?" I asked quietly. Nothing. He just stared at me with sad, anxious eyes. "It's okay, I understand if you don't want to speak. I just wanted to come and see how you're doing."

I walked to his side and checked his report papers. He turned away as i scanned through everything with a neutral expression, my emotions hidden deep within. I took a calming breath to steady myself and returned my gaze to Sean.

He'd suffered through so much because I didn't do a proper check of the house. I should have heard the echoed footsteps and realised there was a basement under the house. I could have saved him from so much torture.

"Officers," a sweet females voice came. I turned and saw a short, blonde haired nurse standing in the doorway.

"Morning nurse. How's Sean's condition," I asked, putting down the clipboard the reports were on.

"He's doing better than when you found him yesterday but he hasn't sain a word or even made a noise. He's opened his mouth as if to say something but no noise. He may need therapy like the last tortured patient but hopefully he snaps out of it before then," The nurse said sadly.

"Yeah. But if he doesn't then we know some pretty got therapists that can help," Felix said with a smile, referring to the ones that help Cry.

"Indeed. But the detectives are here, always requesting their weird nick names again," the nurse said with a smile.

"Send them up, we'll leave if needed," I said with a calm voicw. She nodded and left the room, her footsteps fading down the hall. With patients in this situation sometimes too many people can cause high amounts of anxiety and make the patient feel overwhelmed so guests usually had to leave if someone else wanted to visit.

"Well, we'll go down to the ward and check up on Cry then shall we. I hope you feel better soon Sean," I said, gently caressing his hand. A weak smile formed on his lips anp he looked up at me and nodded. He mouthed a thank-you and I returned a kind smile before leaving him to himself before the detective came.

We made our way back to the elevators and pressed the button, patiently waiting. The doors opened and revealed two familiar people, messing around with each other. I smiled as the bickered, not realising the door were open yet. I cleared my throat, catching their attention.

"Oh, Hey Mark, Felix. It's been a while aye," Delirious said, pulling a silly face.

"I still don't know how you two idiots are the best detectives around," I said, shaing my head as the continued to play like children.

"Hey. Are you judging our ability to... to to um, detectivate?" Delirious said in his usual stutter.

"Detectivate?" Catoonz, his partner, question. "You mean investicate?"

"Shut up! I don't do good English," Delirious defended, still not using the correct terms. I shook my head and held the doors open so they wouldn't close.

"You two sure are something," Felix sighed, shaking his head but a smile rested on his face.

"Yep. Now if you excuse us. We have a patient to detectivate," Cartoonz said, mocking Delirious' mistake.

"Shut the fuck up you hoochie. I will stab you," Delirious threatened, making his partner and friend laugh. They walked away arguing as the doors closed, sealing me and Felix in the small room without any distractions.

"How are they the best? They can't even solve their own issues so how can they solve so many cases?" Felix asked. I laughed, shaking my head.

"I have no idea. I know we joke around a lot and do a good job but we are no where near as idiotic as those two are. I guess we'll just never know," I said.

"Yeah. But what I will know is when Cry gets to leave the mental ward so hurry up so I can go check," Felix said as the doors opened and he rushed out.

"Hold on!" I called out as I ran to catch up.
