I know, cheesy title. But that's the best I could do. I'm Cassandra. I have written stories before, but on a different website. And this is my first story being posted on this website. I will try posting a new chapter at least every other day, but on some weekends I might not be able to post anything because I can only get on the Internet at my dad's house, not my mom's house. She doesn't have Internet. ANYWAY, I DON'T ANY OF THESE CHARACTERS OR THE SERIES OF BOOKS! THEY ARE RICK RIORDAN'S ORIGINAL PEEPS!!! JUST BTWS!!!So sorry. But, I will try to do my best. BYE!!
(This chapter has been edited.)
~Backstory for the story~
My story take's place in Camp Half-Blood. All of the Seven are in it. There will be other romance parts with the other couples. This story is 3 years after House of Hades, like they just went back to camp. So, everybody in this story is like 19 or 20. Some are older, some are younger but I think you all get the point. Nico, Thalia, Katie Gardener, The Stoll Brother's, and many more beloved PJ characters.
They still live at camp as Cabin Leaders. Percy, however, is the Swim Coach and Teacher, Annabeth is the Greek Language Teacher and Fighting Instructor, Hazel is the Counselor, Frank is the Stable Master, Jason is Co-Fight Instructor, Piper is Co-Counselor & Leo is Pegasi Trainer.
So, Chiron needed some campers with more experience to go and get a demigod in Manhattan. Grover was going to go, so he decided to take Frank, Leo and Piper. But sadly, it's been over a week and they haven't returned.
~Hazel~
*The Day They Left*
I waited by the lake, just as Frank asked. I knew he would be leaving soon, but he wanted to spend every spare minute with me. I stared at the sunset, it was a brilliant color. The sun was a crimson red, and they sky near it turned from dark red, to bright orange, to dull yellow. I loved watching the sunset at Camp. Almost every night, Frank and I watch it. I heard footsteps behind me. I stared down my hands, not looking up when the person sat down beside me. I knew it was Frank though. He put his arm around me and put his face in my hair.
"Hazel..." he mumbled. I looked at him. His babyface made him look so much younger than he was. I loved his face. It was so cute. I smiled at the thought.
"What?" I asked.
"I know you're upset I'm going on a quest without you, but I'm going to be alright. I'll come back. Besides, you'll know I'll be alright because you have my piece of firewood. I'll IM you every night before I go to bed. Promise. Hazel?" I didn't answer for a minute.
"I know you're going to be alright, it's just that I'm going to miss you so much." He smiled.
"I love you, Hazelnut." I stopped for a moment. Frank had never said that before. I had always felt that way, though I had been dreaming of the day he would say it. I laughed.
"I love you too, BabyMan." We laughed at the memory. He pulled me closer. I put my head on his chest. He smelled like firewood, grass and...peppermint, oddly.
"Ugh, I'm going to miss this. But, I'll be back before you know it," Frank promised. I laughed. He took my hands in both of his. Mine were very small and fragile compared to his.
"Hazel, I have to go," he whispered. I nodded. He kissed my forehead. I giggled.
"What?" he asked, slightly laughing.
"You missed," I whispered, leaning toward his face. He smiled and leaned down to mine. He pulled me closer, I clung to him. After a minute, he pushed me back gently.
