Me and Kiara gasp. I wait until Katy says something. She steps in. Um, can I ask you something? Katy says. Sure I reply. She grabs me and Kiara's shoulder. I want to write a song with you guys, Is that ok? Says Katy.
Um I guess but how bout we start after school starting tomorrow Wednesdays and Thursdays. I say.
That would be great! Ok well see you later. She hugs me then hugs Kiara. Good bye. Katy says. Me and Kiara wave. When I shut the door, I look out the window. My mom walks in. Who was that? Um- *door knocks*. I open it. It's Kiara's mom to pick her up.
Bye I hug Kiara. Peace out Girl Scout she says. I giggle. I shut the door. I turn to mom, she has an angry face and I gulp. Anyway, who was that girl? Mom questions. Um. She's a girl I met today, she can sing really good. Do you know her?
No... Well sorta. She looks mad. She wants us to help her write a song on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Mom yells, No! That is not exceptable. But but- mom interrupts. No just no. I don't even know her!
Go to your room. But mom! NOW! I run to my room, I sob my eyes out. UGH I HATE MY LIFE I HATE MY LIFE! WHY DOES MY MOM HAVE TO BABY ME? IM 13! UGH! I cry myself to sleep. The next day I walk to school. Katy's not there. I knock on her door.
She answers, hello! Hi, may I come in? Sure. She says. Do you want some coffee? You look tired she says. Um, no thanks. I have to tell you something, I say. Yes? Well I'm grounded because I didn't get my moms permission to have you come over and write songs on Wednesdays and Thursdays...
Oh, well that's ok. I spent over 2 hours at her house until I realized I had to get to school. When I got to school it was 9. I run to history class. I storm in. Sorry I'm late. Mrs. Hillsburg says, yes, yes your very very late. I look down. I sigh. Everyone laughs. After school I went home. I went to my room. I heard my moms phone ring.
I hear that it's the school. They tell my mom that I was two hours late. I hide underneath my blankets and hug my teddy bear. My mom opens the door. She has on that same angry face as yesterday.
Uh um who was that? I say. Well it for sure wasn't your school. Really? I say. No it was. You were two hours late! You are so un responsible! I get tears in my eyes.
