I've got an idea- a brilliant idea! And it's going to get me Rose back.

"If her DNA was rewritten because of absorbing the time vortex and travelling in the TARDIS, it means, so to speak, that Rose is a child of the TARDIS! If I can just rewire some of the background radiation from when Rose was travelling with me and combine it with some of Rose's DNA, then BAMN- she's automatically teleported back here!", I yell excitedly as I run around the TARDIS, flicking switches, connecting wires, turning dials, reading monitors and keying in new coordinates.

"Doctor, that's brilliant!", Jack says with a stunned look on his face.

"But... If her DNA hasn't been rewritten then the TARDIS would create a copy or clone of Bad Wolf in Rose's form... It would create a paradox.", I finish sadly.

"Why? I thought the TARDIS would do everything possible to avoid a paradox.", Jack questioned.

"The paradox would be created because Bad Wolf is a very powerful being- she controls all of time and space itself, she leaves messages for herself through time and space- no other living thing could ever do that. Bad Wolf is also a fixed point in time, creating a clone of her would cause the whole universe to fall out of sync. It would be like cloning a god.
And as for the TARDIS creating a paradox, it would be my fault, I would have rewire part of the TARDIS to sync Rose's DNA and the time vortex radiation. In doing that, the TARDIS wouldn't realise that she would create a paradox if she made a clone.  I would run the risk of creating a time paradox and putting the whole universe in danger for one girl... I can't do it. I can't run the risk... Can I?" I explain in a hushed, guarded tone to Jack. I'm unaware of how he will react at my obvious love for Rose.

"Doctor... You really do love her, don't you... But you're honestly so blinded by love that you have forgotten there's a much easier way!" Jack started to laugh.
"You can just use the TARDIS to scan Rose for alien DNA! Then you'll know if her DNA was altered." Jack explained with a huge smile on his face.

"Captain Jack Harkness, I could kiss you!", I shout.

"Well, it's your lucky day doctor, you can!", Jack laughed.

"It's a figure of speech, Jack", I smirk back at him. "C'mon, we got scanning to do!" I say eagerly.
I run around the scanner and monitor. I type in Rose's name, along with Bad Wolf and wait a couple seconds while the TARDIS sorts through all its scans and information.
*Beep Beep*
I look up at the monitor to see what it shows.
There is a picture of Rose that make my hearts clench in longing to get her back. Beside the picture there is all the basic information- eye colour, hair colour etc.
As I continue down the list, I eventually get up to 'DNA Makeup', it reads:
Rose Tyler DNA Makeup:
Half Human, half TARDIS DNA.
I stare at the screen, my mouth hanging open with astonishment.
"J-Jack, you better see this", I call.
Jack walks over and looks at the screen, soon enough his mouth is gaping open too.
"But... Doctor... She's half TARDIS? How is that even possible? A TARDIS is a machine! Rose... Rose is a human! It's- it's impossible! What is going on, Doctor?", Jack finishes his bewildered speech.
"Doctor?" Jack beings again after I don't answer.

"I can get her back", I whisper softly, my voice soon shouting with excitement and anticipation, getting Rose back is the only thing that matters right now, we'll sort everything else out soon enough.
"Rose, I am coming to get you!" , I half shout, half sing.
Right, now, I have got some work to do.
I grab my sonic screwdriver and call Jack over.
"Alright, I need you to go to Rose's room and find some DNA of hers, it could be anything, her hair, a fingernail, just anything. Bring it back to me once you've found something", I instruct Jack.
"Yes sir", Jack answers with a salute and walks off.

"Alright, old girl, I'm going to have to make some minor changes to your wiring but I promise I'll change it back once I get Rose back. Is that okay? I need to know that I have permission from you", I ask the TARDIS before I do anything. The TARDIS sings in my head.
"Do as you wish, Doctor, Rose belongs here and you need her more than anyone else right now. I give you my permission."
"Thank you", I smile a toothy grin.

I get to work underneath the control panel, I cut some wires and connect others. I add dials that turn and switches that go up and down. I attach a wire that is protruding directly from the main condole panel to a glass tube, I add time vortex radiation. Now, all I'm waiting on is Jack with Rose's DNA.

Jack's POV
'Finally'.
I think to myself as I walk down the corridor towards Rose's bedroom.
Finally he has admitted his feelings and stepped up.
Finally the somewhat awkward and easygoing tension between those two lovebirds will be over.
I roll my eyes and shake my head at how long it took them.

I round the corner and see a door with a stunning red rose painted on the door, I instantly know that this is Rose's bedroom.
I open the door and step inside, it's obvious the Doctor spent a couple days in here after Rose was gone, there's a pair of his sand shoes poking out from underneath the bed. A couple of books on quantum physic lay askew on the floor. Most of the room, however, seems untouched, as if he was careful to sustain the last place Rose Tyler slept, the last things she touched and the last moments she spent with him in the TARDIS. I smile sadly at how much he loves her and feel a wave of joy wash over me as I remind myself that he will get her back.
As if on cue the Doctor calls out to me. "Jack? Have you found anything? I'm all set up."
"Be there in a minute", I answer back. I look around, scanning the room for anything that looks like it could have some kind of DNA on it... Wait, over there on her nightstand...
"Ah ha!".
The TARDIS has already layed out a little plastic bag with a few strands of Rose's hair in it.
"Perfect! Thank you!", I say as I pick it up, walk out of the room and back to the Doctor.

"The TARDIS already had it layed out for me, it just took a while to find it." I mused, handing the bag over to the Doctor.
He didn't say a word as he tipped it into a glass cylinder... But, oh, his eyes said it all.
They were glistening with raw, untouchable emotion.
With excitement.
With joy.
And of course...
With love.
