"Th-this is your car?" I stuttered as I stared, in shock, at Sian's supposed car.

"Yeah babe," she smiled.

"Of course it is," I muttered to myself. I mean, what type of car do you expect a victorian goth to drive.

It was fucking gorgeous though. You know those old timey cars that are super long in the front, but the actual part that you sit in is small. It was that, except more modern. The color was a glossy black with a silver trim.

"It's amazing," I said, still admiring the car.

"I know," she stated, "Nathan get your ass in the middle so Jacob can get in."

Nathan opened the passenger door and got in. He patted the seat next to him and smiled up at me.

I ducked into the car and admired the leather interior. I think I'm in love.

Sian started the car and began to drive to the restaurant.

Nathan put his arm around my shoulder causing me to tense up.

"Okay. So Myths is this really cool restaurant. It's a little weird and shady but you get used to it. Just don't stare at anybody. Like seriously. Don't."

"Okay..," I responded a little nervous.

"You're making it sound scary. Don't worry Jacob. Obviously don't stare. That's just a rude thing to do anywhere you go. But it's just a normal restaurant, so don't freak out."

"Yeah. It's only normal for you, Sian," Nathan retorted. "To put it plain and simple, it's fucking weird. I mean, don't get me wrong, the food is amazing but the people there are weirdos."

"Wow. Thanks for that asshole," Sian complained but she didn't really seem to care.

Sian and Nathan continued to bicker back and forth like an old married couple until we pulled up to what I'm guessing was Myths. The building was two stories tall. There were only windows on the bottom floor and they were tinted.

"Come on," Sian said as she parked the car.

We all got out of the car and started walking towards the entrance. "Mmmm. I'm gonna get the steak," Nathan said while bouncing like an energetic child. I wonder what type of food they sell because steak for lunch seemed a little too much.

I was expecting a lot because of what Nathan told me. I guess I kind of pictured the place to be like a biker bar but it wasn't.

It was fancy. In a creepy but soothing kind of way.

The first thing I thought of when we walked in was vampires. The place was very dim. When you first walked in there was this small little lounge area. The walls were painted black and the furniture was black and blood red. It's like everything was pulled right out of the victorian era.

The rest of the downstairs area was consisted of black and blood red tables and booths. There were two doors in the back and one to the left. And a spiral staircase leading to the second floor.

Sian led us to a booth and sat down. I sat across from her and Nathan decided to sit next to me. Even though there was enough room for a third person to sit next to me and Nathan, he chose to sit close enough that are legs and arms were touching. I don't know how I felt about it.

Trying to ignore the tightness in my chest, I looked around the place. There weren't a lot of people here. Three people were sitting in the lounge area and there were a few more scattered around the place. A couple of people were dressed in regular clothes and a few were dressed like Sian, just not as much.
