Chapter 12
"So you went to get catheter for him?" Sia asked as she leapt towards grand pa excited "Hiiii! handsome, I am Sia" she extended her hand for a shake.
Over excited granpa too extended his hand but wobbled since he was on a treadmill.
"Ooh, oop! Aah!' two of them shouted and quickly did Sia pushed the emergency stop button acting normally as last few seconds of panic didn't happen at all.
To say I was impressed would be an understatement of the century.
"Hey I like your swag. Its so cool" Sia complimented.
If she was mocking at gran pa's still16 at 40 avatars, it did not show.
Rather she gave her input "this black strap of your iwatch just doesn't go with your happening outfit. Wait let me shop for you."
Without wasting any time she quickly scrolled through the shopping apps for straps of gran pa's watch
"Rose gold?' she asked and then denied "too sober"
"White?" she denied again "nuh!, doesn't match your age.
"I thought of buying red but then" gran pa trailed off looking for words
I wanted to fill in 'boodhi ghodi laal lagaam*red color is too bright for me' kind of answer but when he said "Red is a nice color, it portrays strength, power and hotness but what I fear is having it on my wrists, if I lose temper at my grand son for not introducing me to a beauty with brains like you earlier, I don't think he'll survive" his fists already coiled to form a punch made me speechless
What am I saying? I am already speechless.
They too were so busy that they have forgotten that they have company aka me or I was the one who brought a companion with whom grandpa is getting too warm with.
"You are right Sia" supported gran pa's opinion about red "red signifies hot and temper and on your wrist, someone like Sandy" she signaled her thumb at me and continued "would surely knock dead out"
oh! So they do remember I am here.
"I actually like you. You are so cool and have already gifted me such lovely strap so I forgive you for not meeting me earlier in the morning." Gran pa said as he sent a hi-five towards Sia who responded equally enthusiastically.
"Thanks gran pa" I said barging in "but isn't it mean to forgive someone with a bribe?"
"Who said I have forgiven you?" he said mocking anger "and I like this girl not because she has gifted me that lovely multicolored nylon woven strap but because she is a lively girl and accepts people as they are without intending to force her views on them."
I knew he was indicating Genelia and her snobbish ways of how she'd always offer her do's and don't's list to him
"Actually we have to be formally introduced" Sia chimed in just like wind shrime "I am Sia Malhotra, his fiancée and your buddy now if you don't mind."
"Of course I do mind" Gran pa said a little curtly, an annoyed edge in his voice making Sia lose her color for fraction of a second till gran pa laughed heartily "My gran son has a fiancée. Hell! He broke up with that bitch of his girlfriend and this good news was never delivered to me.
"You did not know about his break up?" Sia asked shocked "almost entire India and the entire social media came to know about it."
"Nay" gran pa waved off his hands "I am not a social website fan, his dad" he made a grudging face "is a little overboard and maniac about it." He raised his hands dusting off as if the social websites are termites trying to crawl over him "one addict is enough in the family."
