Chapter 1: Why Me?

                       *A*

"Wake up freshman!" I yelled kicking some of the sleeping figures, while my best friend Kat smacked them with pillows. "You have 20 minutes to get ready and be downstairs. We have to be done decorating the whole house by 5:00 GO!GO!GO!" Kat yelled at the remaining sleeping freshman. I looked up and smiled at her, we were both alike in many ways. We met the first semester of college when we were both initiated in Kappa Hall, the best sorority in Utah. Me and Kat headed downstairs to the foyer.

"So...It's our last year of college." Kat began.

I hate the thought of leaving college, and Kappa Hall.

"Yea well that just means this year will be epic!" I put on my best fake smile and looked around. There was a lot to do before 5:00 and we needed to get started as soon as possible if we were gonna finish in time.

Kat looked at me and groaned before yelling "Freshman! Hurry up!!!!" I shook my head, smiling and started walking towards me and Kat's shared room. I changed into my bathing suit and walked out to the pool. Me and Kat never do any of the hard work, we plan, freshman do. It's what they are here for.

Kat comes out in her hot pink bikini and we tan for about 2 hours, until Kat's phone starts ringing.

"Hello" she groaned. I couldn't hear the other side of the conversation but I could tell that whoever they were, they were losing her interest fast because she just sat there playing with her nails and occasionally she would look at me and roll her eyes. "mkay" she said and ended the call.

"What was that all about?" I asked.

"Nun" she said and went back to listening her music. I groaned. Great, she is probably in a mood now.

As I'm about to push her to tell me, two Freshman walk out hesitantly. "What do you want?" I snap. Honestly, freshman get on my nerves. They try too hard to impress us.

"Umm we just wanted to tell you that we are having a meeting in the living room. Ashley says it's important" the short blonde one mumbled before walking away. I looked over at Kat, who seemed to be in deep thought. I tapped her shoulder and pointed towards the house. She nodded and followed me towards the living room.

"Alright freshies you may have passed initiation, but this is the first party of the year and you ALL need to give Kappa Hall a good name. So if you embarrass me tonight, your out. Now lets go over the plan. Everyone in this college will be attending this party so Freshmen will be catering to all the guest, got it? Good."

Me and Kat look at each other and laugh. We head to our room and start getting ready for the party. The first party of the year is a big deal. So we sisters take it very seriously. When we are finished, me and Kat start looking each other over making sure their isn't one hair out of place.

Kat's has on a dark red strapless dress that hugs her curves. Her lips are the same color red and her hair is pinned half up-half down.
