Thanksgiving morning.

Elise is up at the crack of dawn finishing the food and getting the house cleaned up for the dinner tonight.

"Elise." I groaned.

"You alright?" She asked from the kitchen.

"Stop cleaning. This house couldn't get anymore spotless."

"I don't want our friends and family thinking that we don't clean with detail, and value the cleanliness of our home." She said.

"I'm mexican, we're not supposed to give a damn about what my house looks like." I called.

"Well I'm white, and I do care." She called.

I sighed.

She walked in, "Get up and get a shower, because you and I have a breakfast date at nine." She said.

"What time is it now?" I asked.

"Five forty-five." She said.

"What is wrong with you?" I whined.

She shot me a look from the bathroom, "Get up." She said before slamming the door.

I got up and yawned.

I walked over and opened the bathroom door, "I need to brush my teeth." I said.

She was getting in the shower.

She nodded and draped the towel over the towelrack before stepping into the shower.

"You could join me you know." She said wetting her hair.

"I could." I said smiling in the mirror.

"Well, why don't you?" She asked.

I shrugged, "Because, I'm pretty sure, I know what would happen, and I want to make you suffer." I said.

She groaned, "Baby." She begged.

I shook my head, "Nope."

She sighed, "Fine." and pulled back the curtain.

I smiled to myself and stripped out of my clothes.

I pulled back the curtain from the opposite end of the bathtub, and stepped in.

She turned around from rinsing the soap off of herself and smiled, "Hey baby." She said.

I kissed her, "Hi." I said.

"Hello!!!"

We both stopped what we were doing (If it's not obvious, you shouldn't be reading this) and looked at each other.

"Is that your mother?" She asked.

"Sounds like it." I said.

We turned off the water and wrapped towels around ourselves.

When we walked into our room from the connected bathroom, my mother had just opened the door.

"Oh! Sorry, I was just coming to check on the food." She said.

"At six fifteen in the morning?" I asked.

"I knew Elise was up." She said.

Elise sighed, "All the food is done." She said smiling.

"Good to hear." She said smiling back at her.

"Well, I'll leave you kids to what you were doing, see you at dinner." She said walking back out.
