For Us (Book of One Shots)

As I exited my car, I was immediately bombarded by my closest friends Adriene and Tomiko. These girls had been with me through everything, comforting me when I had been kicked out of the home belonging to my foster parents, when Josiah had broken up with me the day before junior prom, and now the day before our college graduation. Without these girls, I'd only be half the person I am today. Of course they can't take credit for everything, because half of that also goes to the boy who has torn down my walls and shown me what it was like to be loved and appreciated. Draven has been my boyfriend since freshman year of college, after freshman year we had both moved out of the dorms and into a small one bedroom apartment. It wasn't the prettiest but it was ours and I cherished it along with all the memories that came with it.

"Are you excited!? Did you know that Dr-" Adriene shouted before she was cut off by a glare from Tomiko

"oh right, D-Draven's getting you a puppy!" Adriene continued.

"He's getting me a puppy?" I asked raising an eyebrow

"Oh yeah, as a graduation gift you know? Since you've always wanted one"

"I don't think our apartment is big enough for a puppy"

Chuckling, Adriene scratched the back of her head "Yeah, you're right. It's definitely not big enough for a puppy, I don't know what he was thinking"

Nodding slowly, I turned to look at Tomiko who was shaking her head at Adriene

"Is you boyfriend coming to graduation?" I asked Tomi

"Yeah, Marcelo is bringing family as well, oh and Adri, Marcelo is bringing Tanner" Tomi winked at Adriene

"O-oh? Why is Tanner going to graduation?" She replied blushing

Laughing, I nudged her "Maybe he knows that you've had a crush on him since sophomore year?"

"There's no possible way he could know that!" She frowned

"I mean unless someone told him?" She continued, before turning to Tomi who was facing the other direction and whistling

'... you didn't"

"Oh- has that fountain always been in the park?" Tomi said before taking off towards her car

"BYE ERYN, LOVE YOU" shouted Tomi

"TOMI, WHYYYYY" Adriene then took off chasing after Tomi, considering Tomi was her ride. That was a smart choice

"Bye guys!" I shouted laughing at their antics

My phone started ringing Katy Perry's 'I Kissed A Girl' which happened to be the ringtone I have set for Draven.

'Hello, 911 what is your emergency" I said into the phone

"Ahh, my beautiful girlfriend was supposed to meet me five minutes ago and she isn't here yet and I'm very concerned" he replied

"Okay, sir I've dispatched a team to your location and they will be their quickly" I smiled as I walked to the entrance of the Performing Arts building

"Thank you, I'll be waiting for the team" he replied and then we both hung up

I laughed, and as I walked through the halls of the building I smiled remembering all the memories this place had given me and I was going to miss it so much. As I walked by each photo in the hall, one by one tears came down my face. I had been apart of one of the greatest groups on campus which had been the marching band. I had done marching band since freshman year of high school, mostly because I wasn't passionate about any other sport and music was my passion. These people were my second family and I knew that they'd all go one to great things whether they were going to continue pursuing music or not.

Wiping away the tears I opened the doors to the band room where I had first met Draven, he had been a percussionist and had made it onto the snare line. I had just gotten to the college the day before and had been walking around to remind myself of where everything was when I had made eye contact with him. He had smiled so big and introduced himself to me and while I didn't admit it immediately, I had definitely been smitten with him the moment he smiled at me.

'Draven?" I called out into the dark band room, and when I say dark, I mean dark because our band room for some reason had no windows at all.

Huh

He was supposed to be here, frowning I turned towards the door to exit when the lights turned on

"SURPRISE!"

Turning around I gasped

Draven stood in the middle and surrounding him were all of our friends, including Tomiko and Adriene

"What are you guys all doing here?" I asked as Tomi and Adri took the opportunity to drag me towards the middle and placed me in front of Draven

I looked at Draven who all of a sudden was down on one knee

Tears started to form

"Eryn, you're the most amazing girl I've ever known, you kick ass at playing the trumpet, you're insanely beautiful and I don't know how I got so lucky, you're the most talented person I know, you're incredibly strong and I'd be the luckiest man ever if you'd marry me"

At this point, tears were streaming down my face

"So I'm not getting a puppy?" I asked him

"Wha-?" Laughing I threw my arms around him "Of course I'll marry you!"

Cheers erupted around the room as Draven stood up, wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed me

He let me go to put the ring on my finger

I laughed as I wiped away the tears

"You guys were all in on it?" I asked

"Yup! And you didn't suspect a thing, although Adri here almost blew it" Tomi replied

"Thank you so much, I love you guys"

Draven held onto my waist as we all excited the building

Standing in front of it, Adriene decided that now was the perfect time to take a picture of Draven and I

We posed as Adriene counted down

Right before the flash went off, Draven planted a kiss on my cheek, surprising me

"Perfect!" She shouted

Looking around at all of our smiling friends, I laughed. Yeah, it definitely is perfect.

That's the End of this One shot!! I hope you guys enjoy, I'm absolutely terrible at writing full books because I never update! But, I decided that One Shots were the best, because I can finish it all at once and not worry about weekly updates.
