Day 1.

My feet ran faster than my body could catch up with, I didn't want them to find me. I was done, done with being perfect. Done with good grades, and predicted futures. I never had a life when I was at home, my parents locked me in my room, I was forbidden to have any social life. It was ridiculous. I wanted freedom in my life and right now I felt different. Good.

The air flowing through my hair, the branches that slightly scratched my ankles when I sprinted past them. It was a bitter taste that enlightened me. The droplets of rain trailing down my forehead.

The lights of London welcomed me, my feet slowed down as I steadied my breathing again. The city was so silent, the sound of a pinprick would be heard.

My bag slipped off my shoulders when I jumped. The sudden flood of alarm ringed the city. The sounds bouncing through the streets of London. My eyes were to fast for my body, my focus flashing everywhere.

"Calm down Annabelle." I whispered.

The bags rustled in the wind and cans rolled in front of me, my head spun as the loud sounds rushed past. The red and blue lights flickered . I watched as the word 'ambulance' drove past my eyes.

My heart missed a beat.

The night was getting closer and my feet fell heavy with every step I took. I decided to take a turn for a hotel or a safe corner to stay in for the night. My eyes drifted to the left and right looking for a place to check in.

'Off hill foster care'

The letters shone in the dark. Like it was calling me.The words mixed up and my vision blurred. The sirens stopped and before I knew it I was checked in.
