Chapter 26.

Melts the Ice

I wasn't sure as why the hell Thorn called me too early just to talk to me. I was having a freaking hang-over when I got up and Klein was seriously glaring at me when I woke up. I didn't even bothered to change my clothes but I put my bathrobe on. I went straight to Thorn's study room only to see him talking with Hendrick.

Wait, Hendrick?!

    “Oh there she is, our party girl.” Thorn gave me a crook smile.

I turned around and unconciously checked my face. Why am I suddenly like this? It's just my brother and— Hendrick.

     “Turn around Urielle and sit here.”  Thorn said while I sat on the chair in front of Hendrick looking instensely at me. While I was looking on the ground, thinking that there's something precious at the carpet. I heard Thorn sighed, “I'll just be out, talk you two.”

That's when I realized that were both alone in this room. Just me and him. Alone. I was supposed to stand up when I heard his voice laced with something I didn't know.

     “You were out yesterday. And you're not even bothered to tell me.”

     “I...I was with Carly. Nothing happen—”

     “So flirting and making out with some random guy didn't happened?” his voice raised upon questioning me. H-how did he know that?

      “Isaiah, ho—” I was stopped when glared at me.

    

      “You really want to know how the fuck I knew what happened to you at that bar?! Seriously?!” he frustatedly gave me his phone. And in an instant my mouth was hanging open and I gasped when I looked into it. “That picture never lied Urielle, that never lied. You're still wearing that dress you wore last night!”

      “Isaiah, let me explain.” I helplessly said. He looked at me with disgust. I didn't know how my knees trembled when he looked at me like that. “Isaiah..”

I saw how his eyes turned blank and how he frustatedly forced himself to calm down but didn't happened. He just sat down and massaged his temples.

      “What will you explain? That you got drunk and forgot telling me about these whole darn thing? That you made out with a guys who you barely knew when I was choking myself at that fucking office and forcing myself to rush everything just to see you as soon as possible?! But what did you do?” I can feel how tired he is just by his voice. “And what do I get in return, lady? What?”

I can't even found my word, I was just staring at him. He's really really tired. From those dark circles under his eyes, and he grew some stubbles which I find sexy but I couldn't help but to get closer to him and touched his face. He immediately closed his eyes feeling my warmth on his face. I just felt like doing this to him and I admit that I'm  guilty. Damn guilty.

      He sighed, “I can't really get mad at you that easily. You're that fire that melts my ice, lady.” he hoarsely said and leaned in to kissed my forehead. After that, he stood up and walked out like nothing happened. 

What was that all about, Isaiah?

After the confusing scene that Isaiah did, I went to Thorn's room only to see him talking with Cleo? She's too early to go here. They were just talking and laughing for nothing. Kung iba siguro ang makakakita sa kanila baka sabihan silang baliw but from what I saw,  they're just inlove.
