“I never thought that those three perfect days will be our last.”

---

“You’ve been waiting here for so long?” I automatically smiled when I heard his voice.

I closed the Sherlock Holmes vol. 1, my target book for this week. “Nope. So, what's our destination for today?” I asked.

“I wanna rest. Let’s just go to my house.” I nodded and smiled. He really looks exhausted.

My poor Xing.

We took a cab and went straight to his home. By the looks of it, he really is pretty tired right now. He immediately slammed his body on their couch, then closed his eyes. After a few minutes, I heard his light snore. I chuckled. He’s really busy lately. He wakes up at 5, early in the morning for practice in SMEnt’s building here in China, and will go home until dawn finally peeks. Mind you, it’s 1am in the morning.

If you’re curious, I’m Jane, Yixing’s best friend. We have been friends for 15 years, and I’m always by his side. Through ups and downs, I was always with him. Never were the days when I felt lonely, because he is always with me, guarding me, taking care of me, laughing with me, crying with me. One friend is enough for me. Yixing is enough. His love for me as a best friend is enough, even though he will never notice me, the girl who loved him the moment she laid her eyes on him.

But dreams are cruel sometimes, you know.

Next week will be Yixing’s debut as an idol. He will be in a Korean-chinese boyband named EXO. He will be in EXO-M, for Mandarin. I am happy for him, really. But you can’t blame me if I will cry my heart out loud the day he leaves and will pursue his dreams.

He’s here in China right now. But next week, he will be no longer here. He will now leave me, and that breaks my heart.

Tears started streaming down my face, and I can’t help it. “H-Hey Jane, what’s wrong?” he’s wiping my tears away.

I automatically smiled, “N-Nothing, I-I’m really happy for you, Xing.”

He narrowed his eyes on me, and then suddenly, he hugged me. “Ssshh. Everything will be fine.” I sobbed, when he said those words.

No, Yixing, everything will never be fine again.

Day 1

I’ve decided. I have to tell him, that I really love him and I don’t want to lose him. It’s now or never, because if I’ll tell him next week, then that would be too late for me. And I can never endure the pain of him leaving without knowing what I truly felt for him. For the past 15 years, I have been a coward, and now it’s time for me to be brave, brave enough to speak my feelings for him, out loud.

I was waiting for him again, and it’s 8pm in the evening. “Haven’t finished that book yet? You’re such a slowpoke, Janie. That name he calls me really can make my cheeks turn into red. Oh, the effect he have on my system is too much.
