Coffee
A cup in hand, the sun's around
The scent enticing my soul all round
Oh coffee! Your caffeine lifts me up too
Like him who stole my pure heart, boo! From beige to black, you are like love
A kaleidoscopic dream I could never have
For love is overrated
Like you and him so alluringly jaded. You are good, you are bad
But one thing's sure, you're not a fad
You are lasting like him
Only, a little too much then I'd be grim. You are cold, you are warm
Either way, your taste is a charm
To that man who won't be reading this,
I hope you know how much you're missed.Bitter and sweet is what I lived
Like coffee in every morn I heaved
To fuel up my spirit in grieved,
To taste the love that I once give.A cup in hand, the sun is down
Oh my sweet coffee, you're still around!
I thank you for keeping me sane
When he left and gave me pain.-sdjm
