Chapter 57

It has been a week since I have been home.  My mother came the next day and I am almost ready for her to go back to Florida.  I love my mother with all my heart, but she is really bossy and she won’t even let me pick up a dish cloth to wipe the table off.  Kevin has been callling nonstop and that was grating the hell outta me too.  Vincent was the only person I could stand to be around right now.  He asks me what I need him to do, what I want to eat, and sometimes he doesn’t ask me anything at all he just sits with me and watch tv or a movie.

I want to get out of the house; I can’t sit here all day doing nothing.  Maybe I could talk my mother into going to the park with me.  If she won’t then I will bully Vincent into taking me there.  That’s a plan, lets put it into action.

“Mooooom…can you come here please?”

“Yes what’s wrong baby?”

“Can we go to the park just you and me?”

“Oh honey I don’t know; I think you should call the doctor and see if it’s ok.”

“I’m sure she will be ok with it.”

“I don’t know Nikki, I don’t think it’s a good idea how about we go outside and sit on the porch it’s beautiful outside and at least you won’t be in the house.”

“I would prefer going to park instead, come on mom please for me and your granddaughter.”

“Ok you win.”

“Go put on your soft slides and make sure you have your cell phone in case we need to call the doctor.”

I pushed me and my swollen belly off the couch and kissed my mother on her cheek before I went to put my shoes on and grab my cell phone.  I was sitting on cloud nine right now.  Finally I was getting out of this freakin house.  After a ten minute ride we came to the park down from my house.  It was beautiful there were kids out playing on the play ground, couples were out holding hands walking on the trails, and guys out playing basketball and there was two or three of them that were too damn fine. 

“It’s nice out here today isn’t it mom?”

“Yes baby it is very warm and the breeze feels so good.  I’m actually glad we came out it’s nice to be outside and not in the house.”

“See I knew you would enjoy being out here.”

We found a bench and we sat down watching a little girl and a little boy which looked like he could be her brother playing on the see saw laughing and having a lot of fun together.  I was in awe and I couldn’t wait to have my baby I wanted her to grow up happy and loved.

“Aren’t they so adorable mom?”

“Yes baby they sure are; I can’t wait until my grandbaby makes her entrance in the world.  I know she is going to be beautiful, just like her mother.”

“Aww mom, I love you so much.”

“I love you too baby.  Well we’ve been out here for about an hour now, I think we should be getting back home.  I need to fix you something for lunch I know you’re hungry.”

“Yeah, I am starting to feel the baby kicking cause it’s time to eat.”

We stood up laughing while making our way back to the car.  I had such a wonderful time with my mother today.  I reached in my pocket and saw I had a text from Vincent.  I hope he was having a good day I surely was, but I missed him and hopefully he would come by before he went home.  I unlocked the phone to see what the text said.
