It was a new moon. The sky was completely empty. Every cat was in their bed, snoring. A few were out, prowling around at night, for they were loners, needing nobody but themselves. Loners were known for their viciousness, often attacking a passerby for money.

Greedy lot.

But no cat noticed a dark cloaked figure who was gliding along the walls and on top of the roofs. Going at speeds that no cat could. Where he would run and the winds would follow him.

Air Magic.

The cat wasted no time dawdling and went on and on, 'til he arrived in front of a nearly hidden house. Another cat opened the door, let the cat in, and closed the door quickly. The cat that was not cloaked led the other cat to what seemed like a bedroom. On one side was a cabinet full of books. Another wall was poked with oddly beautiful shaped holes. Inside were all different kinds of gems, each uniquely cut. On another side, closest to the window, was a potted tree. It had blue leaves and a a light green trunk. And to complete the effect, it a glowing pale blue mist around it. Next to the final wall was a wooden nest like bed, with quite an amount of fluffy pillows.

The cloaked cat-a dark brown tom with swirling black stripes and midnight blue eyes-sat down on the soft moss-feathered carpet in the middle of the bedroom, and looked at the the other cat, a female with amber eyes and dark gray fur.

"Have you found her yet, Cinder?" the tom asked.

"No," replied Cinder "but I'm closer to hitting the mark an-"

She was cut off quite rudely as the tom hissed, "Closer isn't enough progress! I want her to be found sooner! I could probably find her in a day!"

Cinder acted if nothing had happened and coldly went on with her sentence. "As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted by you, Blur, I did not find her but I know she is in the city of Kittensburg, Prisa. And..."

She pushed on a book that was a bit different looking than the others and the book disappeared into the wall. Soon a scanner popped out and she put her paw on it. Then the scanner turned blue and made a soft beeping noise.

It came back with a data chip. Cinder took the data chip and pushed it in a slot of the computer. A hologram came on it and showed quite a lot of data. Blur took no notice of the data and instead looked at the hologram.

It was a gray-silver furred, blue-eyed with specks of pale blue, she-cat, with a peculiar mark on her forehead.

A pure pearl-white crescent moon.

The mark of the Elements.
