The Odd Ace Out

Chapter 14- Suspicious

"Wh-Wh-What do you want?" I stuttered.

She didn't say anything, she just climbed onto me. Her hands were placed on my white button down shirt. "Ummm..... What are you doing?" I ask.

Once again no response. She began to unbutton my shirt. "Jessica, stop!" I yell putting by hand on her shoulder.

I started to try to push her away. She fell back onto the couch, I got up and ran into the bathroom. The bathroom was the only place that I could go. I started to turn the hot water than undress.

I washed myself then got out. The shower was calming and quiet besides the water hitting the floor. Finally wrapped a towel around my waist and walked to my bedroom. I heard Jessica talking to someone on the phone, I can't tell what she's saying. The landline phone clicked back into its stand. For some reason I felt nervous.

Jessica cooked dinner as I just sat at the table doing nothing. She placed the plate in front of me. I poked at the food with my fork, my mind was wandering. My emotions were taking over, I was angry. "Marcus? Marcus, it's okay. I think it's dead already." Jessica said putting her hand on my shoulder.

I sighed. We didn't speak as we ate, something didn't  feel right. There was a knock on the door. "Marcus can you get the clothes out of the drier?" She asked as she made her way to the door.

"Sure." I mumbled.

I started to think, who next. Then I shook my head "What's happening to me? I didn't mean to turn into this. Why am I hurting people?" I think to myself.

"Am I going insane? No no I'm not. I can't."

I take the warm clothes out of the drier and put them into a basket. When I reach the open of the stairs Jessica is waiting for me. She smiled at me. "Who was at the door?" I ask.

"It was just someone I know, they needed to ask me something." She answered  smirking. Something seems off about her now. What is she thinking? What is she planning?
