Mia's pov

I had the last of my things packed away in boxes I was all ready to start college. I was going to New York university to study to be a Lawyer but first I have to do all my other credits before I get to do my major. I was kinda excited to leave and move away to New York I was gonna be far away from home considering I live in Miami I don't really care because I'm leaving my annoying family behind.

"I can't believe your really leaving!" Cody whined

"Yeah I know I'm gonna miss you too bud" I frowned

"But your gonna be gone for so long what am I gonna do?"

"You can go hang out with Logan"

"Who wants to hang out with Logan he's boring"

"Hang out with friends you like go have your own fun you just turned 16 and now you can go drive and hang out with your friends" I explained

"Yeah but I don't have my license yet I can't really just drive around"

"Your taking the car so now what am I supposed to do?" He asked pushing a box towards me

"Dad will get you a new car he's rich" I laughed

"Not even he's only an ER doctor they don't make that much"

"He makes a lot"

Cody helped me bring my boxes down to my car. My dad wasn't gonna be here while I left because he has to work early in the morning so it's just my brother and our cat to say goodbye. I was gonna be driving down to Miami so I could bring all my stuff in one chance and not on a plane.

"I'm gonna miss ya sis now I'm all alone" He chuckled

"I'm gonna miss you to but don't worry the holidays are right around the corner I'll be back" I said winking at him

"Mittens is gonna miss you" He chuckled drying a fake tear

"I'm gonna miss him too" I frowned

"I'll see you sis have fun" He said giving me a long warm hug

I was gonna miss the Miami weather considering now is the time it starts not getting so hot. I was gonna move to New York where it was gonna be like 40 degrees because of the holidays happening soon and I was gonna freeze my ass off because I've always lived in Miami.

"Don't get frostbite over their" Cody joked

"Yeah I know"

I got in my car and began my journey down to New York. It was pretty far away and I was driving alone but I'm sure I'm gonna make it. I'm gonna make a couple of stops before I actually get their. I will also be earlier then school starts so I can get my apartment key and pack some of my stuff away.

I finally got to New York after two days of driving here. I spent the night in a hotel and then stopped to get food and gas. New York was pretty cool and it was nice. The buildings were tall and it looked a lot similar to Miami just colder and busier.

When I got their I got my key and started to grab the stuff out of my car and move it all the way inside up all the stairs and shit. Great.

Austins pov

I just picked up a bunch of tests I had to grade off the ground. The wind knocked them out of my car when I opened the door. Stupid New York. When I was finally getting to my apartment complex I seen some girl who had long brown hair tied up in a messy bun, bending over in a car to get something. She had a pretty nice ass and dam I didn't mind looking. She dropped a box and that's when I decided to go over their and help her.

"Hey love lemme help" I said sending her a soft smile

"Oh why thank you" She smirked clearly checking me out and I was trying not to make so obvious I was doing

"No problem, so are you moving in?" I asked

"Yes I drove here from Miami" she chuckled

"Wow" I chuckled too

We were walking up the stairs carrying the boxes and she put the key in the hole and we went into her apartment that looked like mine. How did I get lucky to get to live in the same building as this girl it will give me plenty of time to flirt with her. I smirked to myself and placed the boxes down to give her some help and flirt.

"Thanks for the help?" She said asking my name

"Austin" I smiled

I know this chapter is kinda boring but the beginning is always boring to me somehow. This is a great story and it's gonna get good lol. I never wrote a fanfic about Austin being a teacher so this should be fun😏
