Location : Well Being Rehabilitation Center

"Sarah?" Dr. Windscuttle calls the  newest nurse in the center, Miss Sarah Edison. "Go have a look over the patients of Cell number 9, 12, 14 and 23. They've been acting very violent recently. Especially the one in cell number 23. Be careful, don't dare to open his restraints. He's a deadly guy", Dr. Windscuttle ends in a low voice.

"B-but, I'm still n-new here. I've got little experience in handling those kind of patients....", Sarah trailed off, visibly shaken and stuttering.

"Don't fret, Abner is accompanying you." The old doctor waved to a baby faced blonde boy, standing nearby. He came there and confronted the doctor.

"Hello, I'm Zac Abner, nice to meet you. I'll be accompanying you to the cells since you are new here. And don't worry, I'm a doctor too," the blonde blushed.

"Thanks for the help," Sarah felt relieved.

Both Zac and Sarah made their way to the elevator. Once inside, Zac pressed the button to the 3rd floor, and up went the elevator. When it came to a halt announcing, " 3rd floor, C section", Sarah enquired, "What is 'C section'?"

"This is that part of the rehab where the most rampant inmates are kept in strict vigilance and under restraints. Only doctors and staff members are allowed here," Zac clarified.

"Okay...", Sarah replied, feeling uneasy and nervous.

Off they went to investigate the inmates as instructed by Dr. Windscuttle. Sarah found the first one sleeping soundly, while the second one was looking blankly at the wall whereas the third one was humming curses and slangs to the people passing by, which made Sarah a tad bit uncomfortable.

"Its now cell number 23, as instructed by doc," Zac announced cautiously.

Sarah felt her heart pounding against her chest. What would she encounter? What would she come across with? Would she be safe? All these questions littered her tender mind. She palpitated, even though Zac was there with her. It was as if she would die of anticipation.

"Here we are", said Zac. The young nurse gathered courage and entered the room.

Inside the room, she saw a lean figure sitting quietly on the bed, fidgeting with his hair. She couldn't see his face, but from his very appearance, she could make out the inmate to be in his early twenties. She felt a little sorry for the boy, looking at him.

Subconsciously, her elbow collided with the steel glass on the three legged table near the entrance of the room and fell with a loud sound.

At once the head of the inmate swung towards the nurse, who was shaking fiercely by now. His eyes stuck to the quivering girl in front of him.

In that time, Zac studied his features since it was also his first time in this section. He noted, the boy had jet black, spiky hair, deadly pale skin, a rather skinny appearance and a tempestuous demeanor. But the features that he couldn't avoid were his eyes. Although they were charcoal colored, there was something that lay deep within them.

He couldn't contemplate what those eyes held. They were a mixture of anger, sorrow, fear and a deep craving for something. For something he's starved of, the absence of which made him end up here.

While thinking, he failed to notice that Sarah had already made her escape from the maniac. Without caring to follow Sarah, he proceeded with caution, " What is your name, pal?"

"Erose....", came a shaking reply from the boy.
