Chojiro threw open the doors to his Captain's office, staring at the old man behind the desk. "Is there something wrong?" The man struggled to find the right words to the situation before finally settling on,

"You're not going to believe this. Ellie has returned."

His eyes opened in shock. "Where's the report?"

"The Second Captain is making up the file right now in the detention cell." The Head Captain nodded, standing. "She brought Orihime Inoue back with her, who was in fact captured by the enemy."

Rumors were quick the spread for the sudden return of those from the World of the Living and the two Soul Reapers who had defected. There were plans for the Society to invade Las Noches while transporting Karakura Town to a safe location with war looming in the air. But this could put a dent in their plans, the Heads rushing around to figure out what was going on. Were Aizen's plans changing?

Yamamoto moved through the crowd of investigating Second Division members, coming up on the room that held the rescue team for questioning. He opened the door just as Soi Fon was about to begin, gaining their attention. But there were only a few details he wanted to know now to ensure everyone's safety.

"Did you meet any resistance when you entered?"

"No," Ichigo answered.

His brows furrowed. "You walked right in? I find that very hard to believe."

"There were Arrancars present," Renji clarified. "Though because they weren't breathing they didn't put up much of a fight."

The Head Captain sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. It had been a long day of questioning and debriefing, trying to figure out exactly what had happened in Hueco Mundo. Though he had yet to see the one person he wanted to question. Ellie. Everyone had long thought she was dead.

"Captain," Soi Fon said. "Here are the reports we've gathered on the situation."

Taking the folders his eyes scanned over each name on the tabs. He also had to take into consideration the Captains and Lieutenants holed up in the meeting room awaiting answers and orders. "Go tell everyone that the interview is about to begin."

"Are you sure you want to do this alone?"

"Yes."

The woman nodded, walking off.

Yamamoto approached the guards at the door, who bowed before unlocking the room. Half of it was lit as he sat in the chair behind a desk facing metal bars reaching from the floor to the ceiling. A second set of lights turned on illuminating the other half and revealed someone dressed in white robes sitting in their own chair.

"Ellie." The young woman shifted, slowly looking up at the Soul Reaper. Her appearance startled the Head Captain, the girl clearly not the same one that disappeared two years ago. "What happened to you?" he whispered.

Everything about her had changed, untamed hair shaved into a Mohawk with piercings and old scars running over parts of the visible skin. There had been a time when the Soul Reaper would tie the long hair back in a neat ponytail, not daring to subject her body to any punishment for she hated pain. Even her kind nature had turned hard, staring at him with cold eyes and giving away no emotion. All she used to do was smile around people.

"I grew stronger." The answer was not timid or soft, speaking with authority and having power.

Yamamoto swallowed trying to collect his thoughts so the right questions were asked and answered. "I need you to tell me everything that happened."

"Am I going to be locked up?"

"Depending on your answer there is a possibility. Which is why I need to know."

Ellie gave him a cruel smile, snickering darkly. "Don't worry, I didn't have a hand in those bastards' plans. I'll tell you everything just know that this could take a while."

"We have time."
