Frisk's POV:

As we arrived at the house Inana rushed over to me, hugging me, saying that she was sorry for leaving and she was happy that I wasn't hurt.

"I could see how panicked you were, Inana," I replied to her praises, hugging her back.

"I'm sorry that I can't fight," She said quietly.

"I'm sorry that you had to."

"Do you think that he'll be back soon?" Etrix asked, becoming serious, a rare thing for her to do.

"He did get hit a few times. We might have tonight, at the most." Undyne said, peeking out the window.

"They've gotten worse," Inana muttered.

"The nightmares?" Itia asked, sounding a little concerned, but mostly on edge.

She nodded, her eyes on the floor, thinking back to them.

"Does anyone die?" Jaylynn asked.

"Always."

"Does anyone here die?" Etrix questioned.

"Everyone here has died at least once."

There was a short silence, and then Sans asked, "How do they die?"

"The last two days? By him."

Everyone was silent once again, an uneasy tension filling the room, everyone beyond on edge after the double attack.

"Do you think he'll talk to you again, Inana?" I looked over to her.

"He always does." She shrugged, not making eye contact.

"Can you ask him a few questions for me?"

Inana settled down and I laid down on the couch beside hers, everyone else already asleep.

"Are you sure you're okay with this?" I double checked.

"I want to be useful at least once in this battle," She replied, putting her head down and closing her eyes.

I shifted and closed my eyes, praying for her.

Inana's POV:

It's dark. And it's humid, I feel like I can't breathe, but I know I can because I am. I look around and there's only darkness, except for something in the distance. I head towards that, the only sign of light, of life. Every footstep feels heavy, like every movement that I make is slowly killing me, or that something is weighing them down.

After what felt like an hour of this struggle I make it to the light and fall into it. I land in a sunlight filtered garden, a figure standing at the other end of the garden, someone who looked familiar.

"Ink!" I called, getting up and running over to him.

"Inana?" He asked, not turning around.

"Ink! It's terrible! We've been attacked twice by someone who calls himself Nightmare! We need your help!"

"I-I can't help you, I have my hands full right now. But you can help them." He almost looked over his shoulder.

"I would love to help!"

"Go to the Ruins once you wake, to the yellow flower garden, and you will find what you need there. And get there quickly. People already need your help."

"What?"

"Inana!" Frisk shook me awake and I sat up, almost head butting her.

"What happened? What did he say?" She sounded panicked like she needed this answer for a task.

"It wasn't him, it was Ink. He told me that he can't come, he's dealing with another problem, but he told me to go to the Ruins at the yellow flower garden. He told me people already needed these answers."

"The Ruins!" She yelled, running over to the door, opening it and running out, leaving it open.

I ran after her and saw everyone gathered on the porch, looking anxious.

"Inana said the Ruins, so we check everywhere around there. We'll go inside the Ruins where Ink mentioned and see if he's there." Frisk spoke quickly as if she wanted to get all this information out as quickly as possible.

"Ink talked to you?" Etrix looked at me with stars in her eyes.

"Yeah. . .? What's happening?" I was confused and frightened, a chaotic mixture of emotions.

"Sans has gone missing."
