It took the two weeks for Ellie to heal and regain her strength. But she was still weak, being eyed up by the surrounding Adjuchas. All were interested in just what their leader was planning to do with the Soul Reaper. "Your zanpakuto," Bjork ordered. She knew it was foolish, handing over her only weapon, but did so anyway. What more did she have to loose? Taking the item in hand he unsheathed the broken blade examining it carefully. "You're not using this to it's full potential."

"What can I do now? They broke it when they threw me away?"

Pulling out the other end he fit the two together. "Your strength depends on the strength of the blade. This being broken symbolizes you as a person." He slid the tip into the case. "So you will fight with what you have. The zanpakuto will mend itself as you grow stronger."

It was half its normal size, Ellie holding it at the ready. Thinking back to the occasional visits to the Eleventh Division she would have to pull from those small training session she would hold with the Captain. But just how long could she hold out against an Adjuchas?

Bjork rushed the girl forcing her to lunge out of the way. His right hand came to a point, completely surrounded in the white bone in the form of a weapon. "Know this, Soul Reaper. I have no hesitation to run you through."

Ellie didn't doubt him, releasing a kidou. It only blinded him temporarily as she rushed into the cloud of smoke. They clashed in the center, the Adjuchas easily pushing her back. It was no surprise that she was in fact weak. He could work with that.

The young woman was thrown through the air, slamming into a rock and causing her mouth to snap open in pain. The Adjuchas' laughed. Bjork lunged, coming in for the killing blow and Ellie slid down, the point catching the clothing above the shoulder and pinning her in place.

"What was your place in Society?"

"Healer. Fourth Division."

"Hmm, that explains your lack of ability with combat." Ellie ripped herself away, sliding through his parted legs and to the ground, whirling around on her opponent. "But you have some training."

"Luck," Ratchet muttered.

His body spun through the air, foot catching her cheek and slamming the Soul Reaper into the ground. "This is why you were brought here," Bjork stated, staring down at the girl. A cheek had been sliced open from the impact, struggling to get up and force away the haze that came in front of her eyes. "Because you could not fight back." The leader crouched down beside her body, speaking lowly, "I know what they did to you behind those walls. I am not an idiot. What they did was unforgivable, but you're not the only one who has fallen into their hands like that. Just the one who has managed to survived this long." She looked the creature in the eyes. "They have killed countless of us for their own personal games and pleasure. Turning us into Arrancars and using them until they had their fill. Stand up."

Bjork turned and moved away, Ellie pushing through the pain to shakily get to her feet. "What is your reason to survive?" the leader asked.

"Because they took everything from me."

"So let that drive you. Now. How long do you plan on lying there always helpless? Or are you already done?"

Failure is not an option. The deep voice hit her, a shock running through her body. He never gave up. So how could she?

Ellie pushed away the discomfort of her body, holding the weapon at the ready. Bjork cocked a brow. "You know how to hold a weapon and a traditional fighting stance. From records, healers should not know that. Was it one of them that trained you?"
