The unplanned date!

CHAPTER ONE:

I woke up to the sound of my mother's "soothing" voice as she yelled at me to get downstairs right away (as usual). Most of the time that would bother me. Not today, today was my sixteenth birthday. This year my mother has been very strict, on everything. "No ice cream, party's, movies." Pretty much anything you can think of was a big "NO." So yeah, your probably wondering why my mother has been so strict lately. This all happened after my dad passed away a year ago and 3 days from today, not that anyone was counting. My mom was okay for the first three days she was sad and so were we but there's something you didn't know. My father and I also shared the same birthday. Now since my dad was in the military he didn't want my mom to have to work, so since my mom didn't have a job we didn't have much money for the funeral. Also, I made the dumb choice of asking to have my birthday party on my belated fathers birthday. My mom freaked out and insisted that we had a funeral and a birthday party for my dad then. So that's what we did. It was pretty tough, seeing all those pictures and all those memories. But it hit mom the hardest. Anyways I'm gonna skip the gruesome details and just tell you that my mom hasn't talked to me since that day. She had communicated with me but she always tells things. Even her texts are all caps. She hasn't told anyone she loves them since after the funeral. My brother Jeremy says that she's probably scared to say she loves someone and lose another person, which makes since, I guess.
