I wake up alone seeking for my possession. My hands stretch out only to find the horizon of a living room couch. I open my bloodshot eyes. Red cups flooded the place like a ball pit. I find the littered stairs and attempt not to slip each time I take a step. Once I find the so called bathroom I look into the mirror. It's hideous. I'm hideous. My chestnut brown hair became curly, tangled, and had a funny smell to it. Alcohol. My coffee grounded eyes now red from over drinking and lack of sleep. How much did I drink?

I close the bathroom door and head downstairs. I saw my best friend, Nora, cleaning the trashed house. Nora saw me and grinned.
"Hey, Arizona,"

"Hey, Nora," I replied.

"How'd you sleep?" she said while picking up cheese pizza from the floor.

"Good, do you need help?" she smiled.

"Yes!" she giggled.

I bent over and started giving her trash. After a couple of minutes of cleaning up, we moved farther down. I walked up to the gray couch and looked underneath it. And there I saw it. My cigarettes. I reached for them and smiled. My most prized possession.

"Really? Your happy over that?" she asked annoyed. She drank but nothing else. She never liked the idea of smoking. No cigarettes. No marijuana. Nothing, just alcohol.

"You know I can't help it,"

"Whatever," she rolled her eyes, and I laughed.

"Where did everyone go?" there should have been at least twenty hungover people here. I mean, it was a big ass party.

"I kicked everyone out," she smiled. "well except for one person,"

"Me?"

"Nope" I didn't see anyone else.

"Then?" I asked starting to get frustrated.

"BOO!" I turned around and made contact with my fist.

"Ow. That hurt," Jayden. I rush to my brothers side.

"Oh god, sorry but you shouldn't have came up on me like that," I smiled at my younger brother.

"I know, that was a mistake-"

"Damn right. You know that's the last thing to do to Ari," Nora butted in. We all laughed. She extended her slim arms to help him up and he blushed.

"Thanks," he said slightly embarrassed. She gave him a pearly white smile.

"Come on Jay, let's get cleaned up before mom and dad get here,"

"Ok. But I'm going to help out Nora for a bit,"

"Jay-" he cut me off.

"Just because you are a year older than me doesn't mean you have to boss me around like that," He reassured me.

"Fine. Bye guys," I waved and smiled heading straight out the door.

When I walked out of the front door I swear I saw the cutest boy ever. And I looked like a mess.
