Ian's P.O.V.
I stumbled through the small farmers market in town, carrying a few bags of vegetables. A strand of brown hair fell in front of my face. But finally, I made it to Finley's front door and set the bags down, only to be attacked a few seconds later by a bundle of disgustingly greasy brown hair.
"Ian!!" Finn squealed into my ear, followed by multiple slobbery and gross kisses all over my face. Finn
"Ugh, I missed you so much!" Finn said. I had been gone for two weeks on a business trip. Or that's what I told Finley.
"I missed you too babe!" I said, forcing a chuckle. Her smile immediately fell off her face.
"What's wrong?" She asked, her eyebrows lowering and forming a few wrinkles. Ew. I hate wrinkles.
"Nothing, hun." I said, forcing a smile while leaning down and giving her a peck on the lips. Finley's smile instantly formed again, showing off her hideously yellow teeth.
3 years. That's how long we've been together. Obviously I don't love her. I'm in it for the money that I'll get when we get married. Go ahead, hate me, but you gotta do what you gotta do. My mother's cancer can't be healed if I don't get her the money she needs for the treatment. My brothers hunger pains and cardboard box can't be replaced if I don't have the money he needs to survive. It's her heart over my family, and I had no doubt about who would come first.
"What ya thinking about?" Finley asked, her annoying singaongy voice interrupting my thoughts. I created a smile, showing off my perfect teeth, and healing any bad thoughts she had.
"Nothing. Just how much I missed you." I said, before leaning down and kissing her. After a few seconds, she leaned back, a huge cheesy grin on her face. I forced one on my face, too.
"Hey." I said, pulling her close to me. I swear I almost barfed. "When am I going to get to take you out for dinner?"
"About that. Tonight I have to start helping Jackie with her wedding planning. Tomorrow afternoon the mayor wants me to look at a few things for the parade, and then I have to go straight to work, only to go help Jason clean up his barn. We also have to start working on his float." She said, smiling with a big grin as if she had to apologise.
Honestly, I was relieved. If she was going to be gone all day tomorrow then I had the day to meet with Pepper. Now Pepper was the girl of my dreams. In fact, she was the complete opposite of Finley.
"Oh thank god! I don't have to see you all day!" I said, forcing sarcasm into my voice even though I was telling the truth. Finn bought it and laughed while lightly punching me on the shoulder.
"Oh shut up." She said, laughing again. I forced a smile and looked down at her.
"I love you." I lied to her face.
"I love you too." Finn said, not lying. I leaned down and kissed her again, before going to grab the groceries and put them away.

Finn's P.O.V.
----It was 4 in the afternoon, and I had just finished my work. Walking up to Jason's house I knocked on the front door. No response. I knocked again, harder, and waited a few minutes.
"Jason?" I called out. Again, no response. I was confused, but I didn't thing too much of it and started to walk back home.
The road leading up to my house was curved, so you could see the house before, say, if someone was on the porch, they could see you. And that was just what happened when I was walking around.
I had my phone on the camera mode, coincidently, to see if I could get any good pictures of it for my Instagram, when I saw Ian, my boyfriend of 3 years, making out with an ugly redhead on the porch. I barely snapped a picture of it, as my thumbs were shaking so much, but I wanted make sure I wasn't going insane. I then quickly turned around and ran.
And ran. And ran. And ran, and ran. I had no idea where I was going, but I would rather have been anywhere else than that corner. My lungs finally stopped me from going any farther, and I stopped and bent down with my hands on my knees taking multiple deep breaths.
There was no way Ian had been cheating on me. He wouldn't do that. He loved me.... Right? I quickly took out my phone to look at the picture. Sure enough, they stood there, kissing.
My heart sank to my stomach, and kept going. Everything felt numb. My soul felt like it had been taken from my body, and instead I was watching myself examine the picture.
My boyfriend of 3 years was making out with some girl that wasn't me. The thought finally settled in, and the tears started pouring. And he just.... Ugh! First my mom, then my dad, and now him?! Does he even love me?! How dare he waste my time with a relationship that wasn't going to go anywhere.
I finally reached my boiling point, and I started to try and storm back to the house, only to realize I had no idea where I was. Sighing, I sat down on a park bench. My life was such a mess. How could I go on?
Kernington. The thought almost instantly popped into my head. In Kernington, I would start over. No one would know who I was or where I came from. I would be free, and I wouldn't let people walk over me. Not again.

A/N: That was chapter 2! What did you think? I liked this one. Btw, look for some of the stages of grief after Finn finds Ian cheating on her ;) Be prepared for a huge confrontation in the next chapter!! Super excited. In this chapter, Finley was going to go help some people do some atuff only to find that Ian was cheating on her! Tbh, Idk about Ian. Yeah, he's a jerk, but he needs money for his mom's cancer and his brother's homelessness. He could probably find another way to get the money, like robbing a bank (jk), but... Idk.
Ttylxoxo,
Mads
