chapter 1
Hi my name is Krishelle Faye Black. I have a normal and simple life. I have Black hair, deep brown eyes and taned skin. By the way I'm 12. I only have one older sibling named Jude William Black. He goes to a summer camp that I don't know of. Mostly because he doesn't speak about it. I am not popular and I don't have many so called "friends" infact I only got one. His name is Grover Underwood.
'Tomorrow is my last day at school, one more day before summer' I kept repeating that to my self because of 3 reasons. 1. I can go to the beach more often. 2.I can own the remote. 3.I can celebrate my birthday. Then suddenly
"Pssst! you've got a text message" my ring tone said. I picked It up and saw that it was from Grover
"Hey Faye, do you want to go grab some food?"
'Nah, I already ate. Maybe next time" I lied.
"Ok, see you tomorrow" he texted back. After that my mom and I prepared food then ate then after that l went to sleep.
The next day came and went. Me and Grover were walking home because It wasn't far then suddenly a half-man half lion appeared.
"Run" Grover yelled. After we ran block to block we found a bush and hid in it. The "thing" went the other way and we lost him.
"We need to go to your house quick" Grover said panting.
"What was that and why is it trying to kill me?" I asked but Grover didn't answer. He was to busy hailing a Taxi. When we got to our house my mom greeted me.
" Hi sweetie, what's wrong"
"A manticore attack" Grover said panting. The color from my mom's face drained.
"Where is it now?"
"We lost it. We need to get her to camp" Grover answered. Mom got my clothing and toiletries and placed it in my duffle bag. We rushed to the car and mom drove me to the direction of the woods.
"Ok, what the amazing fudge is happening?" I asked.
"I will explain everything when we get to camp half-blood" Grover said.
"Camp Half-blood?"
