"Well, I had two friends Katie and Bethany. I always loved Katie SO much, she was just a living legend."
Lottie smiled, eating the last of her sandwich.
"But Bethany, I almost felt she was jealous of me and Katie. Even more so when I got my first boyfriend, Jacob."
Lottie nodded.
I carried on talking.
"Well, it all got lout of hand. Jacob asked me on a date but I had already made plans with Katie. Bethany and Jacob started complaining that I was spending far too much time with her. Shortly after that I dumped Jacob."
"I understand totally! Mates before dates!" Lottie exclaimed.
I shrugged, tears forming in my eyes.
"It was on the night of Katie's 17th birthday. Bethany and Jacob had been blanking me for weeks. It was the night Katie disappeared."
