It was a peaceful day outside in the town of Macidila. Natalie decided to dressed into her day clothes. She put on her tall white socks with a little blue bow at the top of them and a short, plain pink dress with a small blue scarf-like item sailors wear. She then looked into the mirror as she put a blue ribbon in her blonde hair to go with her teal eyes then she put on her cute little dress-like black shoes. She went outside and looked around, her parents were working on the farm, trying to grow enough food for their family then she turned her head towards the road leading to the bigger part of the town and that's when she spotted the other children.
"What should we play?" Natalie asked the rest of the children as she approached them.
"We should play hide and go seek!" a few children said at the same time, a little enthusiastic while a few others looked like they disagree with the idea, but they all went along with it.
"Alright, I'll seek first!" said a loud voice that belongs to a eight year old boy with brown hair and grey eyes, he was the same age as Natalie. Once the boy agreed to being the seeker, the rest of the children hid. Natalie went to go hide by the docks, no one ever goes there really.
"Eight, nine, ten... Alright. Ready or not, here I come!" the boy shouted and started searching for the hiding children.
"Found you!" Natalie heard the boy yell when he found the first person who was hiding. She would hear it occasionally here and there. After a while, it all went quiet. Natalie was never found in this match of hide and go seek.
"It is getting dark, they all probably went home for dinner," Natalie thought to herself, but she waited a little longer. Still, no one came so she left her hiding spot and headed back towards the town, but she soon stopped in her tracks. She looked terrified at the burning town with dead bodies scattered all around in the streets. Natalie hurried to what was left of her home and ran inside to see if her family was well and alive, but they weren't... Natalie's mother was on the floor in the kitchen and her father was slumped over onto the floor from where he was sitting in the dining room. Horrified, Natalie runs out of her house and leaves what's left of the town.
