*Carter's uncle POV* I'm waken up at 4 in the morning to that d*** baby crying. I know you might be wondering why I stole the baby and want the baby if I'm annoyed with it already. My name is Carlos. My brother, only sibling, died. Same with his wife. The only other family I have left is this baby. You also might be wondering why I didn't just wait for the trial. That is because they see me as evil. I have a record. It's not good. I'm trying to make it better. I guess this doesn't really help. I mean I did walk into the trial, that his foster parents were having, drunk and shots firing. I was then thrown and jail and found a way to escape. I feel really bad. I do. The thing is though if they find me something's going to happen. Either to me, the kid, or one of the foster parents. Not sure yet. I climb out of bed and go to the room across the hall. I get in there and it smells. I find a diaper and change the baby's diaper. I pick him up and go downstairs. Now what do you feed a little baby? I go into the kitchen and find some milk in the fridge. I pour some into a bottle that I bought from a convenience store. I go to feed the baby the milk and he spits it up. "You d*** baby. You're suppose to drink it" I say I set him on the floor I go upstairs grumbling. I change my shirt then go back downstairs. I get downstairs and he's crying. I pick him up and go to the living room. I lay him on the carpeted floor and he still cries. I grab the remote to the tv and turn it on. I then turn up the tv volume to drown out the sounds of the cries. ---------------------------------------------- (Carter has been missing for three days) *Joey POV* Well since I've been so devastated about Carter being gone the guys allowed me to have the whole time I requested off. But today I have to go because my vacation is up. I wake up at 6:30 and go downstairs. I make myself a cup of coffee and some eggs. I have breakfast and look through my emails. By the time I'm done it's 7:30. I close out of the mail app and open the phone app. I scroll through my contacts until I find officer Daniels. I then press his number. D-hello J-it's Joey D-we haven't found anything yet. He wasn't at his previous house and he hasn't used his phone. And it can't be tracked J-ok ca- D-yes. I will call you when we get something J-thank you I hang up and put my phone in my pocket. I go upstairs and Jewel is still asleep. I go over to her and gently shake her awake. "Hey. I'm heading to work" I whisper "Ok. Where's Katy" she asks "In her room. I'm going to take her with me today." I say "Are you sure" Jewel asks "Yes" I say I kiss Jewels forehead and walk out of the room. I go to Katy's room and go in. I carefully pick her up from the crib and change her diaper. I then set her on the carpet carefully and rummage through her drawers for something for her to wear. I finally decide on the doughnut onesie Spencer got her as a gift for her first birthday.

(There is no bow on there) He literally bought her a doughnut onesie, doughnut teething thing, a doughnut themed nimi. Basically anything doughnut in the baby section. He's obsessed and has a problem. I dress her and then grab the diaper bag. I put her favorite stuffie in there, an extra change of clothes, and socks and shoes if I feel like putting them on her. I pick her back up and go downstairs. I grab my keys and go out to the car. I get Katy in then get in my self. I look at the time and see that it's 8 o'clock. I've got thirty minutes. I start the car and get to the office in 15 minutes. I look and see that Chad's car is already here and Caleb just pulled in behind. I look in the rear view mirror and Katy is still asleep. I get out and then open the back door and carefully get Katy out and grab the diaper bag. I close the door and turn around and Caleb is standing there. "Hello" I say "Hey" he says He grabs the diaper bag from me and we head in. "Hello Patrick. Hello Andrew." Chad says "Hello Matthew" Caleb says "Hello Chadwick" I say "You're lucky you are holding your sister" he says "Oh well" I say I go to my desk and sit down. I reposition Katy so that I'm cradling her so I can do my easier. A few minutes later Spencer walks in and slams the door shut which wakes Katy up. I sigh and stand up rocking her in my arms trying to calm her down. "Nice going Spencer" I say "Oops sorry. I didn't know Katy was here and sleeping" he says "Spencer, Chad and I both sent you a text telling you" Caleb says "Ok to be honest when I saw that you two texted me I thought you were just saying that I was late and joking around. So I didn't look at it." Spencer says I finally calm Katy down and she falls back asleep. "Any news yet" Spencer asks "No" I say "Alright. Now that Joey is back let's get started on stuff" Chad says "Well we finished everything for painted skies. We just need to do the last music video. But we should do some more covers" Caleb says "We should cover Pocahontas just around the river bend" Spencer says "No no no. We should do a Mulan medley" I say "Yes" Caleb says "Agree" Chad says "Then it's settled. A Mulan medley. Which songs" I ask "Reflection, I'll make a man out of you, honor to us all, and a girl worth fighting for" Chad says Once get that figured out we start writing. A few minutes later Katy wakes up. When she sees Spencer she smiles and reaches for him. I pass her over to him and then my phone rings. I see that it's officer Daniels so I go outside and answer it. J-hello D-hello Joseph. We think we found a lead J-ok what is it D-someone said they saw him walk into an apartment complex. J-great D-yeah but then he walked out. He drove away and didn't return. His phone turned on and we were able to track his location. We're going there now J-can I come D-no. We don't know if it's going to be dangerous J-please. Let me come D-no. I'll text you when we have captured the uncle and have you meet us at the house J-ok fine I hang up and go inside. I toss my phone on the couch and start pacing. All of a sudden I fall face first on the floor. I get up and just sit in the ground. "Sorry I tripped you but your pacing was annoying and you weren't listening." Chad says "It's fine" I sigh "What's wrong" Caleb asks "Officer Daniels called and says he thinks they found something but isn't sure" I say I get up and continue pacing. Finally my phone buzzes. I look and see it's an address from officer Daniels. I grab my keys from my desk and shove my phone in my pocket and race out to my car. I start it and drive away. I put the address in gps and follow. I arrive and see multiple police cars and a few ambulances. I get out of my car and officer Daniels runs over to me. "Where's Carter" I ask "At one of the ambulances. His uncle is in a police car. We are taking him to the state prison. It's harder to escape" he says "Ok. Thank you so much" I say He nods and leads me to where Carter is. I get over there and he is wrapped in a blanket and is getting fed a bottle. "What happened to him" I ask "He didn't get proper car. Didn't eat. He has really bad rash. Then some scratches all over" a paramedic says "Can I hold him" I ask They nod and pass him over to me. I cradle him in my arms and finish feeding him the bottle. He finishes and I burp him a bit. "Am I able to take him home" I ask The paramedics go to say something but officer Daniels intervenes. "Yes you may. But make sure you stop by the police department tomorrow to sign the papers to adopt him. A child services person will be there as well just to ask a few questions" he says "Will do. Thank you" I say I go to my car and place Carter in his seat. I then get in and say a quick prayer to God thanking him. I start the car and drive to the studio. Before I go in I call Jewel. Je-Joey is everything ok J-everything is alright. Just come to the studio. We need you to take pictures of us for some stuff Je-ok. Kelsey is here with Emmett is it ok if the come with J-yeah I hang up and get out of the car. I pick Carter up still in his seat and go home to the door. I leave the seat outside and go inside. "Joey! You're back. Where were you" Chad asks "Uh they thought they had a lead so they wanted me to meet them there" I say "Did they find anything" Caleb asks "Where's Spencer and my sister" I ask "He's behind the curtain changing her diaper. Now answer the question" Caleb says "Alright alright hold on" I say I go out the door and pick up the seat. I carry it inside and take Carter out of it. "So they found Carter" Spencer asks "No. I just found another random baby in the streets" I say "Does Jewel know" Chad asks "No. I told her to come because we need our picture taken. It's a surprise" I say "Well they're here." Caleb says I put Carter back in his seat and put him behind the curtain. Luckily Katy is still young enough and everything happened so quick she doesn't understand what's going on. I take Katy from Spencer and she just squeaks and hugs me. "That's the most adorable sight ever" Kelsey says "Of course it is. Cause I'm the most adorable person" I say "Not you doofus Katy" Spencer says "Oh zip it Spence" I say "Ok what do you four need me to take pictures of" Jewel asks "We need you to take photos of us to post in Instagram because why not" Caleb says "Alright" she says I set Katy on the ground and she runs over to Kelsey who sat Emmett on the ground near the couches. "How old is Emmett now" Chad asks "9 almost 10 months" Caleb says "Where is Sofie at" I ask "Oh her and Fallon went on a shopping trip." Chad says "That's why she asked for my wallet" Spencer says "What did you not question why she needed it" Caleb asks "No. Cause usually she ends up buying me stuff too when she needs my wallet" Spencer says "Ok" I say "So how about we have Chad and Spencer go sit on the couch." Jewel says They get up and do as told. Then Caleb and I get up from our chairs and go over to the couch. Caleb squishes between the two guys and I lay across their lap. "Get off of us" Chad says "Nope" I say I hand Jewel my phone and she takes a few pictures. She goes to say something but then a baby cries. Actually it's carters but she doesn't know we found him. "What or who was that" Jewel asks "It sounded like it was coming from the back room" Kelsey says "Joseph" Jewel says "What" I ask Jewel sets my phone down and goes behind the curtain. She comes back carrying the baby seat. "Really Joey we haven't even found Carter yet. Have you forgotten about him" she asks "Jewel baby calm down. Just look at him. Doesn't he remind you of someone" I ask "Yeah Carter" she says I get off of the boys laps and go over to where Jewel is. I reach down and pick the baby up cradling him in my arms. "This is Carter. They found him today. I just picked him up. I wanted to surprise you" I say "Don't ever do that" she says she starts slapping my arms. I pass Carter over to Chad and wrap my arms around Jewel. She starts crying. "Babe what's wrong" I ask "I thought you forgot about Carter. I thought you gave up on him." She says "Hey. I would never do that. I love you guys too much" I whisper I kiss her temple and she buries her head in my neck. I take Carter back and he just smiles. Jewel laughs and kisses his nose. Katy sees us and runs over to us. Jewel picks her up. "Hey Katy who is this" I ask "Carcar" she says "Yeah" Jewel says We see a couple of flashes and move apart. I look around and see Kelsey and Chad both with cameras and Caleb just with his phone out. "Really" I ask "It's so adorable" Kelsey says "Alright well my family is heading home. I'll be back in to work in two days" I say "No nope hold it" Caleb says "What" I whine "We need to see who won our different categories" Spencer says "Oh yeah" I say I grab my chair from my desk and drag it over then sit down. "So is girls counted all the votes so there's no cheating. And the winners are-" Kelsey starts says "best hair goes to Chad, best dressed goes to Spencer, funniest goes to Joey, most humble goes to Joey, nicest goes to Caleb, best bromance is Joey and Caleb, most wise is a tie between Caleb and Joey, most responsible is Chad, band mother is Joey but they also said the band father is Caleb, most talented is Joey" Jewel says "How did Joey win most of them" Chad asks "Because" I say "Get out" Spencer says I just laugh and stand up. I grab my bag and pick up the baby seat. We go out to my car and I place the seat in then place Carter in the seat. Jewel get Katy in her seat. We get in and I start the car. When we arrive home we watch a movie then feed the kids and put them to bed. I make dinner for Jewel and I then we watch some more movies till midnight then head to bed as well. I go to Katy's room and she's sound asleep. I go to the nursery and Carter is wide awake. I go in and pick him up. I go to the rocking chair and sit down. I cradle him and softly sing don't you worry child to him. Halfway through the song he drifts off to sleep. I finish the song and stand up. I go to put Carter in the crib and he starts to whimper. I sit back down in the rocker and rock him back to sleep. Eventually I fall asleep too.
