As we arrived at the gates I see a man with golden blond hair and a woman with bright red hair. They both carry a serious expression as they gaze down at us from the top of the gates. My dad dismissed the gaze as he waves and says "Hello! Me and my daughter came from a village by the Karad (kar-ed) Lake. We were escaping war and were hoping we would be welcome in the village of the alliance." After a few moments the red head finally spoke "You are welcome here. Please, allow us to open the gates." I hear yell to the other guard, Zantack, to open the gate. I try my best to act the least bit nervous as I guide Rose Dapple through the gates. Once we pass through the gates I hear them clamp shut. The guards meet us on the ground and introduce themselves. The red haired one was Bethany and she was a fire Phoenix hybrid and the blond man was Zantack. He had interesting tattoos on his arms. The tattoos allowed him to manipulate fire and to turn into a fire lion. I felt more comfortable after I knew who they were, they seemed pretty nice.
After I introduce myself, me and my dad took our horses to the stables and walked over to the blacksmith. As we walked in we were greeted by a tall man with brown hair. "Hello, how my I help you?" He asks. "I have an axe that needs sharping." My dad says. "Ah, something easy, I'll get that fixed right up." He walks over to the sharpener and gets started.
As we wait I decide to walk around the village and see what it has to offer.The sky was bright blue as the day was beginning. I walk to the high point of the village and look out at everything. It looked so perfect, as if it was meant to be. Children ran about chasing each other, parents keeping a watchful eye in them. As I was about to leave I hear a horn go off. Everything stopped. Parents ushered their children inside as quickly as possible. I was confused at first, but then I remembered the war party that I slowed down earlier. I panic and race back to the blacksmith hoping everything would turn out fine.
