RINGThe bell had just rang announcing the start of first period. I sat down solemnly because my first class was my least favorite class in the world, Chemistry.

-Mostly Confident"Look on the board for your seating arrangements, and feel free to get comfortable with your neighbor because they're gonna be your lab partner for the rest of the year." Ms. Johnson said before walking over to her desk.
'Damn. The whole year? Ugh, I just hope I don't get stuck with some loser.'
The class started and every seat was filled, except the one next to me.
I looked to the right of me. At the other table sat Chris.
☆CHRIS☆
-Good student
-Total nerd
-Very philosophical
-Latino
-My best friend"My lab partner still isn't here, I hope I don't get stuck with a weirdo or something." I whispered, clearly starting to panic a little.
"Whoever it is, it can't be worse than my lab partner," he said as he gestured over at his partner.
Looking past Chris I could see that he had been stuck with Lindsey.
☆LINDSEY☆

-Annoying
-AnnoyingAs class started, my partner was still M.I.A.
I sat there not really paying attention to the teacher. I needed to know who I was gonna have to spend the entirety of my Junior year with. The more I sat the more anxious I became.
It was about 30 minutes into the class before the class door opened. A kid who was around my height -- slightly taller -- walked in. He was wearing a black hoodie and a pair of grey sweatpants. His hood was half way on, revealing his curly brown hair in the front.
"Ahh, Mr. Matthews, you're late."
The kid ignored her, walked over and sat down right next to me. I had never seen him before. He must have been a transfer student.
"Hey," I uttered in a cautious kind of tone.
He looked at me, stared for a moment and then looked away.
I sat there for a second confused. I decided to let it go and at least act like I was listening to whatever Ms. J was talking about.
The entire class, our interactions were filled with nothing but silence and awkward tension. He hadn't said a word to me the entire time.
I tried to catch a glimpse of his name on his paper, but his hand was in the way.
I tried to sit up a little and see over his hand. Clearly I wasn't as sly as I thought, because he noticed what I was doing and turned around and looked at me with a look I couldn't quite understand.
As he stared at me I noticed his eyes. They were hazel and something about them made me want to keep looking at them. It's like I couldn't look away.
Once I realized that I was staring I looked away feeling a little embarrassed.
Throughout all of this, he still said nothing.
After seeing me look away he gave a slight grin and moved his hand.
I looked at his paper again. His name was Kash, Kash Matthews.
☆KASH☆
-No known informationBefore I knew it, the class was over and we still hadn't said one word to each other.
"Bye," I said as he stood up and walked away.
