We pull up to the house and I instantly regret agreeing to come. I realize I didn't even agree. I wish I had stayed home. I'm only sixteen! No place for me. Or Lavender. We walk up to the door and let ourselves in. In less than 5 seconds I'm left by myself, Lavender off with her new boyfriend Jeffery. I don't like him but it's not my place to judge. I sigh and walk through the room. The air thick with smoke and teen desperation. The music is loud and pounds in my ears. I make my way past people and find a corner in kitchen that was clear of people. A couple of people offered me a smoke or a beer. I said no of course. I don't want to damage my body any more than it already is. The smell of smoke stings my hair and will be hell to wash out. Hopefully my parents won't notice. They won't. They probably won't even realize that the house is empty.
I stroll out of the kitchen and to the back of the house. There are more people than I though possible and push my way through the crowd and out the back door. There is a patio and a swimming pool with a hammock hanging next to it. There is a railing over looking the neatly kept lawn and I walk over to it. I lean on it and rest my head in my hands. It's mid-October and I'm cold I wished I brought a jacket. I sigh and hope nobody comes out. Why did I let her talk me into coming?

Soon people are filling the dining room and I don't want anyone thinking I'm a weirdo for sitting in a corner alone at a party. I get up and walk out avoiding eye contact with anyone who walks by. I make my way to the back of the house where there are more people than ever. Some are dancing others talking. Some even making out. I look away and find the back door that leads to a patio. I step out into the cool October air and breathe in the smell of Autumn. The best season of them all. I see her before she sees me. Well I only see the back of her. She is short and slender with stick straight hair that's a beautiful auburn color that would make any girl jealous. She isn't wearing a jacket and I start to weigh my options.
I could walk over to her and start talking.
But she'd probably walk away or ignore me. Like most girls.
Or I could go back inside and forget all about her. But I think somehow I wouldn't be able to get her out of my head. So I grow a pair in the swift seconds I walk over to her and lean against the railing next to her. She jumps obviously surprised by my presence. Then I finally get a good look at her face and it's like I was smacked by the hand of Cupid. I'm at a loss of words for how gorgeous she is. Her skin is pale in the shadow of the patio light but not a sick pale. Her eyes are green like eucalyptus with flecks of gold that shine every few seconds. Her cheeks were carved but not too high. They were perfect. Her chin came to a fine curve and her hair fell naturally in her face as she turned to me. She gave me a look of shock, or maybe scared. Probably both. I wanted to tell her it's ok that she's ok. But the words wouldn't come out. She just stood and looked at me. As I did her. And trust me there was nothing else I'd rather do.

Sorry if it seems a bit short! We'll get to the juicier stuff later:P. So far so good? I like criticism. Not harsh though please:)
