*Avery*
Him. He. That boy. No man. Was looking at me as if I were Aphrodite. AS IF! But he was the absolutely the most handsome guy I'd ever seen. His hair was long and silky. It was dark and straight with a curve at the end. It fell into his eyes which I could tell were obviously bright, icy blue and a bit of gray splashed in. They weren't cold like you'd think, but actually warm and comforting. I could get lost in them. Like a storm brewing but mixed with the sea. His skin was pale yet tan. If that makes sense. He was skinny from what I could tell. He was wearing a black hoodie. He also had on black jeans and a pair of converse that were also black. I saw he has his ears pierced. Some might call him "emo" but stereotypes are stupid. He looked like the kind of boy that would hide from trouble, but start a fight. Maybe he listens to hard rock and alternative music. That's my favorite. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't know anyone was out here." He stutters and I do my very best to hide my blushing. "It's okay, I understand. It's pretty scary in there." I gave a nervousness laugh and give myself an imaginary slap to the face. Stupid! I look at him and he's smiling. Then I'm smiling. He hold out his hand. "Nathaniel Taubenfeld." I reach out mine and take his. It's warm. "Avery James." And we shake. When we let go my fingers tingle as if wanting more. And I was tempted to grab his shirt and pull him in for a completely inappropriate make out session. But I don't. I look at him and grin for no reason.

When we let go of hand shaking it felt like I had a part of me amputated. She was really beautiful. I bet even in her worst times she's beautiful. She grins randomly at me and I back. Then she shivers and I take my hoodie off and hand it to her. How cliche but hey she's cold. "Thanks," she flashed a row of white teeth at me and I smirk. "No problem," I mutter. All of a sudden a guy, I think his name is Johnny, bangs open the back door and marches over to Avery. "What the fuck Avery?! I don't talk to you for a day and now you're slutting around?!" His yelling obviously bothered her because she closed her eyes and stepped back. "Johnny, it was crowded in there so I came out here for some fresh air." She said it calmly. Like she goes through this all the time. This guy, Johnny, had on a pair of jeans and a letterman jacket over a striped shirt. His hair was a mess and his eyes red. Probably from smoking. He looked over at me and squinted. "What're you doing talking to my girlfriend. She doesn't like people like you. FAGGOT!" He shouts it and a bit of spit flies from his mouth. "Johnny stop it. Knock it off." Avery said firmly. "Whatever. Just get your ass back inside." He turns and walks off but stops at the door aware she wasn't following. He doesn't turn around. "Sorry about that." She whispers. "My uhh...boyfriend is a bit wild." She said used the term wild as if he were an animal. Before she walked off she took out a pen and scrap paper and scribbled something down before walking back to the door and Johnny. He opens the door and let's her in first. Not to be a gentleman, by to make sure she actually goes.
I turn back to the nice yard and look at the stars. They are shining brighter than ever. After a few minutes I realize she has my hoodie and had left the piece of scrap paper. I pick it up and read it. Savoring every word.
"Call me ok? ***-***-****
-Avery"
I look up to the stars. Yep. Definitely brighter.
