CHAPTER 20
MERCEDES POV
I know I'm alive but I don't if others do. I can't tell the time either, the only thing on my mind is Hayes. I don't know why, all I can think about is if he's happy or not. I hope he is, but I hope he isn't, is that bad? I can hear my heart beating.
Faster
And
Faster.
I hear doctors rushing around but I don't know where they are going.
They ran into my room and started attaching things to me, everything went black
*hours later*
I woke up in my room hearing my parents screaming.
"STOP YELLING SHES GONNA HEAR YOU!!" My 'dad' yelled.
"Okay. But how are we going to tell her she's adopted?" My mom asked.
Little too late.
"Maybe we should call her down and just tell her right now." My dad said.
"Okay. MERCEDES!" My mom yelled. How does she know I'm up? I dragged my body downstairs and saw them sitting on the couch.
"What's this about?" I asked.
"Well it's nice to see you too Mercedes, we've missed you." My mom Lauren said.
"Sorry." I said accepting her hug.
"Is this about me being adopted?" I asked. Their faces went blank.
"Who told you?" My dad Felix asked.
"Brent and Pyper." I said.
"Oh." Felix said.
I walked upstairs after a few minutes of silence. I plopped my body on my bed and drifted to sleep.
I woke up hearing my parents screaming again.
"LAUREN STOP SCREAMING!" Felix screamed.
"FELIX STOP YOUR GONNA WAKE HER!" Lauren yelled.
It went silent for a bit, I just amused they killed each other. I heard my phone go off, I walked over and saw a message from Hayes.
Hayes- Hey sadies I met a girl she's really nice.
Tears filled my eyes, I couldn't see anything. His ringtone went off again.
Hayes- hey so this girl I met her name is Cara. She has blue eyes and blonde hair. We were talking a bit but we just met.
I stares at the messages and walked into the bathroom. I heard my parents yelling about me
"I never wanted another kid. I only wanted Brent and Pyper." Lauren whispered.
I grabbed the sharpest thing I could and tore my skin. I sat on the floor, blood poured out and I saw spots. I knew I did it.

NASHS POV.
I sat on my bed and thought of Hayes. I missed that little shit. I remember the time he walked into my room and told me he liked the new girl at school. I bugged him about that until one day he said 'I'm in love with her' I stopped bugging him after that.
PYPERS POV.
"Mercedes get out of the bathroom I have to pee!" I yelled repeatedly. After knocking 7 times I got mad.
"OPEN THIS DOOR YOU LITTLE SHIT!" I yelled.
No response.
I got worried so I knocked one more time.
"Mercedes back away from the door." I warned her
I broke the door open to see my little sister laying on the floor covered in blood.
"BRENT!" I yelled, he ran to the bathroom and I showed him. He started crying. I backed away and just stared at her, tears rolling down my face.
She killed herself, my little sister is dead, why, why'd she do this?
I asked myself those questions multiple times until I heard her phone go off. It was a twitter notification, I decided to read her messages when I saw hayes messages. I don't think she would kill herself over this. She might of heard mom and dad talking though.
"Brent." I said walking up to him.
"Yeah?" He said with tears in his eyes.
"How are we supposed to tell everyone.
Mom and dad walked upstairs and saw her. Dad started crying but mom didn't. She looked happy.
"Why the fuck are you smiling?" I asked Lauren.
"I'm not." She said trying to hide it.
"Yes you are. I can tell by the way your mouth is." Brent said.
She walked into her bathroom and dad followed.
*2 months later*
Nash knows about Mercedes. I told Brent to tell hayes, I'm pretty sure he has.
"Pyper!" I heard Brent yell from downstairs.
"Yeah." I said slowly walking downstairs.
"Nash got us Magcon tickets!" He said.
"Really!"
"Yeah, they had to extra special guest passes because Jacob and sierra aren't coming." He said
I was too happy to say anything.
BRENTS POV
Nash called and said were going to Magcon NC! I told Pyper that it's tomorrow and she's packing, I ran upstairs and started packing.

"Brent Pyper!" Nash yelled from downstairs.
We both walked downstairs with our bags. We hopped in his car and drove away.
