Eli caught a sense of something...Not new but not usually around...Just as he heard Aria wake. The sound of her bones cracking as she stretched. He had taken up remaining outside, just to give Aria space, she was still seething after Kendall but something about her seemed off today. He couldn't think what it is but he decided that Kendall would not die at Aria's hands, many others could if she desired but not Kendall. He was sitting at the back door, passing his phone from hand to hand as he stared out at the wide garden. He knew Kendall wouldn't be able to resist if he was alone and so he had to torment himself and stay clear of Aria as he waited for the little psycho.
He tried to relax a little as he heard Aria pad around his room...Their room...Earlier, it sounded like she was wearing heels but she couldn't have been since he was sure she was in bed when he heard the echoing steps. As much as he wanted to be up there with her, he knew that he would be delaying Kendall and dragging out much longer.

As a harsh breeze picked up, Kendall stepped out from the shrubs she had been at for the last half hour as she watched Eli. Her scent had been carried through the wind and now he was alert, staring at her from across the garden. He didn't move.

No fun.

She rolled her eyes as she walked across the grass, slowly, making sure she showed off every curve she had as she took each step.
He was watching her from where he sat. He knew what to do. If Kendall thought he was ignoring her, she'd reveal herself more. Hopefully just enough for him ti finally pierce her heart with the sharpened piece of wood in his back pocket.

She was coming closer, slowly. She looked as confident and as hot as she always had but now, All Eli could see was this rotting thing dressed like a twenty year old.

Suddenly, Kendall was behind him, leaning over with her slim arms caressing him. He tried to remain calm but he couldn't help but tense his arms.
"My sweet...Eli," she purred into his neck as she placed her hands on his buff chest, "What's it going to be? Kiss me, or kill me?"
The closeness of her was making him feel sick, "You always liked games, Kendall,"
She shuddered against him, "I've missed hearing you say my name...Remember how you used to moan my name as I was do-"

"What are you doing here?" asked Eli, getting bored, "We're not together. We were never meant to be, you were just a link in the chain,"
She straightened up and jumped in front of him, giggling like the child she was, "Oh, Eli...It's funny how everyone you've loved has died instead,"
Eli clenched his jaw as he looked up at her.
"It's always me that's still living," she smirked, "That's a sign,"
She giggled as she ran her hands through his dark hair.
Eli smiled and stood up before circling her, "Oh, of course. How could I think those girls were for me when it was really you...That had to make sure you were the last one standing by taking them out,"
Kendall's grin dropped. She looked angry now.
"You are selfish, childish. Everything nobody wants. It's just your time to finally die, being a vampire obviously wasn't for you," continued Eli, further pissing Kendall off.

She bit her bottom lip as she straightened her black, denim jacket, "Me? Selfish?"

She burst into laughter, "It's you who thinks every other girl belongs to you. I've been loyal to you since the start. Why are you going out for burgers when you have steak at home...In New York,"

Eli never expected what happened next. She kicked his chest with her heeled foot, feeling the heel puncture his chest a little as he fell to the floor and groaned.

His body began filling with rage and pain as the skin around the puncture began to heal. He gritted his teeth, "Maybe you're right,"

Kendall smirked and nodded her head, she was so focussed on him she had blocked out everything. All she could see was him, everything else was a blur. She had been after this man for centuries, she was not going to look away now that she had him.

She bent down and wrapped her arms around his neck.

Eli glanced at the door, where Aria was standing, staring out. Her eyes were red with rage. He dropped his sight to the step where he had been sitting and seen the stake lying there. He nodded at Aria before turning back to Kendall as Aria gently pressed the door handle.

"Now, you're seeing clearly," started Kendall, standing up slowly.
Eli could see Aria pick the stake up, quietly and slowly.

"How about we go up to that fake-mate upstairs and show her where she belongs?" asked Kendall, smirking as she bent down and placed a long, manicured finger under Eli's chin as if she was going in to kiss him.

He closed his eyes and went in to kiss her, as he started hoping that Aria would move quickly.

And then, he felt a sudden gust of Kendall's breath hit his face. He opened his eyes and found her, bent over in the same position with her mouth open wide. She groaned a little as she tried to reach to her back.

Aria had missed her heart.

In a heartbeat, he kicked her down so she fell back at a powerful force, shoving the stale through her back and piercing through her chest but still missing her heart.

"After you, my love," smiled Eli, pointing to the stake as he admired Aria.
Aria bent down, still with raging eyes as she bloodied her hands whilst pulling the stake through Kendall's chest.

It looked agonising. Kendall was writing in pain as the wood passed through her. She was screaming and crying. Like a child.

"I'll go get some matches," said Eli, turning on his heel as Aria stood over Kendall.
There was a moment of silence as Kendall's chest and back healed itself.

"Go for it," sneered Kendall, locking eyes with Aria, "If he can do this to a woman he loved, be sure he can do it to you too,"

"If he does it to me, then he'll end up the same as you," said Aria, lying.

She stretched up and plunged the stake straight into Kendall's heart in a squatting motion as Eli came back out, holding a bottle of vodka and a matchbox.
Kendall didn't make a noise. Her eyes went from their dark colour to white as her skin faded from it's tan colour to a pale grey. Blood started dripping out of every entrance she had.

She was dead.
Aria moved away, shaking as she looked at the blood on her hand while Eli simply poured the vodka over Kendall's disturbing body. He lit a match, threw it down and watched as her body burst into flames.
Eli sat next to Aria on the step as the watched the flames engulf the girl.
It was oddly satisfying.
"Now I know not to get on the wrong side of you," smirked Eli, wrapping his arm around his darling.
"You bet," she smiled, turning and gently pecking his cheek, "Steven is with Rob. I think Rob'll be fine without her,"

Eli nodded, "Steven will look after him, more than she could,"
"Now," started Aria, turning and straddling Eli, "How about we go upstairs?"

Eli smirked as he lifted Aria, who had wrapped herself around him.
