Chapter Thirty - Five

Jaehee's Pov

My hair blew along the wind, trees and grass swaying to the rhythm from the strong impact.

The smell of the cool breeze felt really refreshing, the sight of the crystal clear river was very cooling as well.

I never thought such place existed especially within the woods.

If only mother, father and Seohee could be here to see this, they would have loved it.

Not a moment too soon, the sun began to set and the sky was getting darker, I sat on the grass wondering to myself if we could see the others again.

Tao has been practicing his moves the whole day, and Luhan had been out scavenging for vampire tracks or safe paths that could lead us back home.

We hadn't moved an inch from this place ever since we got here. When I woke up, I was in Luhan's arms and I accidentally kneed him in the joints due to being surprised.

Anyway, Luhan said he'd be back soon but he has been gone for 5 whole hours, where the heck was he?

"Are you worried about Luhan hyung?" Tao stopped practicing  and looked at me as hands rest against  waists, a grin flashed across his face.

I raised a brow at his suspicious grin, "Yeah. He's been gone for too long, I wonder what happened." I stared back at the path Luhan vanished to.

I felt Tao taking the spot next to me but I didn't turn my attention to him, my mind was still occupied by the thought of Luhan being out there alone. "You don't have to worry you know?" He began.

"I know..."

"He's Luhan hyung after all. Nothing could ever happen to that guy." He laughed, I fought back the urge to laugh with him too but instead I smiled.

Tao's right, I know he is but still, I couldn't help worrying about him. What does this mean?

"Hey, are you um... are you by chance, in love with him?"

"Who?" I turned my head so fast that it made Tao flinched a little though he simply chuckled at it. "I'm talking about Luhan hyung, or do you have anyone else in mind?"

It wasn't like I had anything to hide but my feelings were a bit confusing for me to figure out who I was actually in love with.

I care for them both.

"I don't know. It's all so confusing."

"So you haven't made up your mind yet."

I nodded.

"....good enough"

I didn't quite catch what he said because he said it in a really soft voice, when I tried to get him to repeat what he just said, he shrugged me off with a smile and a nevermind before he went back to practice.

It's probably nothing.

I stood up and walked towards Tao who was doing some stretches, I clasped my hands together and looked at him with pleading eyes.

He stared at me and wiggled his eyebrows. "What?"

"Teach me a step or two, I also want to learn wushu."

"Are you sure you can handle it?"

"Are you sure you can teach me?" I smirked which he replied with a mischievous grin. "Fine, I'll teach you but don't come crying to me when you feel pain."

"Never."

Time flew by as Tao taught me one of his wushu stunts, I had a hard time catching up to him but I got the hang of it after 6 tries.

I think I impressed Tao if I do say so myself.

"Man, I underestimated you." He laughed.

"Like they say, never judged a book by it's cover."

"I'll keep that in mind next time. Speaking of which, I got another technique I want to show you."

"What is it?" I asked as I tilt my head to the side a little.

He walked up towards me and positioned himself behind me, his hands found their way on my shoulders as he gave them a little squeezed. I was a bit confused about what he was doing or what he was about to do.

Just as my mind wandered off somewhere, he stepped a little bit closer to me---his chest was literally up against my back---it was an awkward position and I felt rather uncomfortable.

It was the first time I felt uncomfortable being with Tao.

"Tao?"

"Shh, relax. You just gotta do as I say, okay?" He whispered, I could feel the warmth of his breath as they hit against my ear.

No matter how much I hated being in that position with him,  I couldn't push myself away.

"Now stretch out your arms."

I did as he told me to, his hands were making sure my arms were in the perfect length like he wanted them to be.

"Like this?" I asked.

"Yeah, just like that." I could his breath on me again. 

It was then I felt the urge to turn around and tell him to back away a little but it happened so fast, I didn't even have time to react.

Tao kissed me.

When I came to, I quickly pushed him off me and stepped further away from him. "What the hell?!" I was fuming with anger. 

I didn't like that he took advantage of me and it disappointed me more because I trusted him.

Luhan's Pov

I was making my way back to Jaehee and Tao when I saw something that tightened my chest---They were kissing.

How did this happen? Tao...when did he start having such feelings for Jaehee?

As I took a step back, surprised came over me when I saw that Jaehee had slapped Tao on the cheek, tears visible in her eyes. Then it became clear to me; Tao forced himself on her.

"What the hell?!" She shouted at him.

He did not answer her question but instead looked my way. There were mixed feelings shown on his face---anger, disappointment, hurt---I felt sorry for him but I was also angry at what he did.

Jaehee turned her head around when she noticed Tao looking at me. "Luhan?" her face written in shocked.

I wanted to go to her and hold her and tell her that everything was okay, that I wasn't bothered by it but the fact is I was bothered by it. I couldn't lie to her face and tell her I was okay.

"Since when?" I asked.

Tao didn't answer immediately but I expected as much. "Since I found out you like her too."

"Tao.." said Jaehee.

He turned his attention to her and forced out a smile, "Sorry it took so long for me to tell you."

Having to compete with Chanyeol was already bothersome and now I have to include Tao in the list too? I was not prepared for this.

Since I didn't want to make things worse, I decided to end the topic. "Let's just keep going." I turned around and started walking but Tao's voice stopped me in my tracks.

"Sorry hyung."

When I turned around, it was already too late, he had already wrapped his arms around Jaehee's waist and jumped from branches to branches

"Tao!" I shouted at the top of my lungs, anger burned in my chest. Why was he acting like this?

Didn't want to waste anymore time, I quickly retraced his steps and made sure to use my abilities so I could sniffed them out and catch up.

This is madness. I've known Tao for years now and he has never shown this side of his before, it scares me a little. I just hope he doesn't do anything to Jaehee.
