"I had a dream last night, but it wasn't really a dream because it's true. It started off really great, but gradually got worse. My parents were there, I was there, we were a happy family. My brother James had just gotten home from being across seas for war, and we were all so excited. We gave him lots of hugs and kisses.
My brother suggested that we should go get ice cream down at our favorite childhood shop. We used to go there all the time when we were kids. He got chocolate, I got strawberry, and my parents always got vanilla. It was then after this moment, that me and my brother's life changed forever.
After half an hour of ice cream and fun, it was time to make an end to the night. We got in our car, drove at least 3 1/2 miles back to our house, but then all of a sudden things changed in an instant and life came crashing down.
Some group of people celebrating who the hell knows what, decided to get drunk. They made the decision to be on the road while influenced. They made the decision to end some lives to save theirs. They ran into our car as they were approaching a red light with a speed of 90 mph, and we had a green.
My parents were instantly injured because they were in the front seats. They were covered in shards of glass, dirt, blood, and whatever remains were inside of their bodies. My brother and I however, managed to escape the night with a couple of scrapes and bruises.
We were the lucky ones, but not my parents. The other car survived, and I know it's bad to say, but I wish they could have felt the pain I felt after this moment. The only revenge I get to feel, is knowing that they have to suffer the fact they killed two people. They have to live with that for the rest of their lives.
I on the other hand, was no longer a momma's baby girl, or a daddy's daughter. I, from that moment on, was parentless. That's why my brother is very protective of me. He wants me to succeed to make our parents proud. To make him proud. Which is why I'm here today, in this dorm room, and only on my second day of college, but I can do it. I'll do it for them.
I need some breakfast to reboot my day. I'll talk more later." - 3/16/17

I couldn't decide what I wanted for breakfast. After the dream I had last night, I had no motivation to do anything. I have to try I tell myself, if not for me, than my family.I'm startled by a knock on the door. I open to see a face I wasn't expecting.
"Hey babe, how would you like to go get some breakfast with me?" Matthew smiles.
I don't even have to reply. I lock my door, and head down to the lounge area. I'll do anything in this moment to try and brighten up my day.
"What'll it be?" asks the cafeteria lady.
"Pancakes please" I reply.
"So you're a pancakes girl. Good to know." he laughs. "I'm more of the waffle type."
I laugh and head to a table over in the corner near a window. It overlooks a lake, and it's so stunning. I love that I can sit and watch the earth take its motions piece by piece.
"So how did you sleep sweet cheeks?" he asks.
"Now you want to know how I sleep. What are you some kind of stalker or something?" we both laugh.
"Now take it down a notch honey, if you want to see stalker I'll show you stalker." he winks.
"I'm good, but thank you." he smirks.
"So what are you here for anyways? Are you one of those 'If I don't go to college, my daddy will kill me type of girls' or are you here because you 'want to get away'?"
I look at him oddly, but then say "It's a long story, but I guess you could say to get away. I need to do something with my life. Otherwise I'll be up in my room all day wasting away. I'm here for psychology. What about you cool guy?"
"So now you think I'm cool. Man the progress we've made already is great!" I laugh, but then he says "I'm here for football and the ladies." he winks.
"So you're one of those guys. Here I thought, wow, I've actually met a decent guy for once. Nope, that's all long gone now. So I'm gonna go now. Bye." I stand up and walk away only to be stopped by him grabbing my wrist. "Ouch!"
"Sorry, I've got to work on the strength. I'm head over heels strong." he smirks but I pull my wrist away and head the other direction.
"Hey wait up." he yells toward me. "You can think whatever you want baby, but I'll win you over somehow."
"I don't think so, and definitely not with that attitude. I've got to go anyways, class starts in 20."
"Laterz baby."
After he said that, I got this sudden wave of attraction towards him, which I'm not going to let on. I'm here for one thing and one thing only and that's psychology.
*****
After class I walk out to the sight of him holding flowers and a bottle of champagne. I don't know whether to feel happy that he's here, or upset that he's standing outside my classroom, which I never told him where it was. He's definitely stalker material."I told you I'd win you over somehow babe."
