I was walking on a park and on a bench I saw her.....

The love of my life.

It was raining back then, I was late for a dinner party. I heard her crying when I passed on the bench she was sitting on. I was pulled by her gravity. I had this sudden crave to help her. I stopped and sat beside her. I shared my umbrella to her for she doesn't have one and she was soaked wet. She hugged herself while having chills. She looked up to me and asked what am I doing. I didn't answer. Instead, I stood up and offered my hand. She took it and we walked. I introduced myself to her and she did the same. Justine Tiu is her name.

I brought her to my condo. I made her feel at home. I cooked some soup for her while she was taking a bath. I lent some of my clothes to her. Except for 'thank you', she didn't say a thing. I just watched her eat the soup. I asked her if it's good. She just answered a nod. I tried to open up the reason why she was on the park but she decided to be quiet.

I made her sleep in my bed. I slept on my sofa. 2:47 am, I heard her having chills again. I checked her temperature, 38.5 degrees celcius. I gave her some Paracetamol and checked her temperature from time to time until it got low. Then I slept again. I woke up and saw her note on the end table saying 'Thank you for taking care of me last night. I really appreciate it. May God always bless you. Until we meet again. -J.T.'

I really expected that time would come, when we'll meet again. And it didn't disappoint me. I saw her again. On television, playing volleyball for De La Salle as a rookie. I once went to their locker room when they're out and posted a note on her locker saying 'Good luck on your game today, Justine Tiu. :) -S.M.J.'. When she got there, I peeked a little and saw her reading it. I also heard her teammates teasing her. I just chuckled. She ran outside to find me but I hid. It's not the time for her to find me out.

After I watched their game, I felt frustrated because they lost. I went to a coffee shop to wind up. I was shocked when someone gave me a latte I didn't pay for. It has an awesome coffee art. Some girl at the jersey #15 who is about to spike hard. And I noticed a note that says 'Thank you. I'll play harder next time. :) -J.T.'

I stalked her after that day. Before their training, I always stick an encouragement note to her bag. Then after a few weeks, I decided to invite her on a lunch. Even though she didn't reply, I showed up. She showed up. We got to know each other. Taytay, Rizal is her hometown. She's 17 years old and has 3 or 4 siblings? I can't remember. We exchanged phone numbers before we left the restaurant.

We became close after the meet-up. Every Saturday, we hang-out in, sometimes her place, sometimes mine. And on weekdays, we're study buddies. Then one day, she randomly opened up the reason why she's in that park. Heartbreak. She suddenly cried while telling the story and I hugged her, very very tight. Just to make her feel that I'll be here, always, beside her. That made me figure out that I'm already in love with her.

Our friendly dates became very often. Usually, she's the one who invites me. She became very clingy. I don't know if it's a good thing or bad. But I figured it's good. That night, in the park, I saw her again. Soaked wet in the rain. Hugging herself while having chills. Deja vu, as they say. But this time, I don't know what the reason is. I brought her again in my condo, cooked some soup and slept beside her. Then she cried again. Blaming me for it. Said that I was so dense that I didn't feel her love. That confession made me shocked. That means the feeling is mutual.

She still didn't stop blathering about me until I grinned. She asked me why but I didn't answer. I just slowly lifted my head and kissed her. The kiss was so passionnate that I don't want it to stop but I had to. When it finished, I saw her blushing really hard. And she kissed me again. So torrid. So tempting. After that, she hugged me tight and said three little yet sweet words. We slept having each other's arms around ourselves.

I felt like the happiest person alive that moment. I finally met her, the girl that taught me what love really is like.
