You're gone,
and the silence I embark in, fills with the heavy sadness you draped upon my unguarded heart. The tears I pour endlessly drown, the aching feeling that rips through my chest, and I don't know how longer I can bare to stand here with this hollow feeling you left me to hold. With this constant pounding memory of your arms wrapped around me, loving me through the darkness. It leaves me to shreds, love..
I was everything with you.
I don't know what I am anymore.
The door still lays open, and your footsteps sprawled across the dusted floors from when you spoke those wretched words "good bye". But there was nothing "good" about this. There was only the nothingness I felt when you left adrift.
Maybe it was me.
Maybe I wasn't enough.
But I'll never know the truth that lies within your heart.
Maybe I should forget.
But how?
Your face underneath the shadows of the drapes across your face in the mornings. Your laughter that filled the air with none other than beauty. The sensation of butterflies fluttering through my bones when you simply brush past me, and the music of you whispering
"I love you"
are shadows that you sewed within the empty crevices of my heart.
But now I can't whisper the words back to you, my love
"I love you too"
