As I run into the blacksmith my dad turned about to leave. "Come on Aiden we have to find somewhere safe." My dad told me. "No dad, there's got to be something I could do." I say. "Fine." He says. He takes me outside and tells me I could use my wand but nobody could see it and it must be discreet. I nod and run in the direction of the gates.
When I can see the gates I decide to find a nearby tree that I can climb to get a good perspective on what's going on. Once I get positioned I look out from my post and grab my wand. I look down at its sliver handle and it's purple and teal shaft. I point it at a smaller rock on the ground and small shimmery, silver particles surround it. I slowly lift it in the air and as fast as lightning it shoots towards one of the soldiers in the back. I don't intend to kill so I only hit him enough for it to knock him out. As he hits the ground other soldiers turn to see what the thud was behind them. As they do, archers from the village shoot at the ones not paying attention. I turn away not wanting to see them fall lifeless to the ground. I feel bad for what I have done, but I know it was for the good of the village.
Once I hear the village cry out in victory I quickly climb down from the tree and head towards the high point of the village once again. I sit upon a large boulder at the top of the hill and look out at the plains over the wall.
I hear a rustle in a brush behind me and I reach for the hilt of my sword. "No need for that." A feminine voice says. "Who are you?" I ask. "Oh, just the village outcast. Don't worry I'm not a threat." The voice says as they step out of the brush. I'm left staring at a girl with curly midnight blue hair and a blue eye. One eye was missing and she had black demon like horns on each side of her head. "I see you still don't trust me. I don't blame you, not everyday you see a girl with one eye." She tells me. "How- how did you know?" I ponder. "That's my little secret." She smirks as I think of what could be the meaning of this. "You're smarter than I thought. I'm surprised the idea of mind reading even came to your head." I'm fuming on the inside when she says "Oh my, look at the time. Time for me to go!" She slowly walks off just to annoy me more I'm sure. "Good riddance." I mutter when she's out of earshot. "I heard that!" She yells back. Well she can make a good first impression. I lie on my back and just as I get relaxed I hear another voice behind me.
