Chapter 22

Jason's P.O.V.
  "Alex take us home." I say as soon as I get in the car. I sit and hold Sarah in my lap. Tears run down her cheeks as I rub her back. I pull out my phone and text Olivia to not be home. I want Sarah and I to be alone tonight.
  "Baby I'm so sorry." I whisper in her ear trying to comfort her. She nods her head understanding what I said to her.
"I love you." I say kissing her forehead.
"I love you too." She says grabbing my hand. We sit for the remainder of the car ride with her in my hands. She doesn't talk nor do I. I let her tears fall but catch them with my thumb to wipe them away.
"Thanks Alex. I'll talk to you later." I say getting out of the car. Sarah walks along besides me clutching on to my arm tightly. I open the door and walk us inside.
"I'll run a bath for you. Come on." I say walking towards the stairs. She follows closely as we go up. I start a warm bath for her as she undresses.
"Can I get you anything?" I ask her before she steps in the bath. I look over her naked body to make sure they didn't hurt her. Her wrists are red which does make me mad.
"Maybe some food." She says walking towards the bath.
"Okay. I'll be right back." I say. I hear slip into the bath as I walk down the stairs. I make her a turkey sandwich and a glass of water. I carry it upstairs to see her still sitting in the bath. I set the food on the counter and sit next to the tub.
"Are you okay?" I ask her with worried eyes.
"I was scared Jason." She says.
"I'm so sorry. We can talk more after your bath." I say standing back up.
"Okay." She says softly. I change out of my clothes and into pajamas. I hear Sarah get out of the bath and start to dry off. I grab one of my t-shirts and hand it to her. She slips it on and carries her food the the bedroom I follow her as we sit on the bed.
  She eats the sandwich as I watch her. One night away from her felt like forever. I don't think I'll ever be able to leave her alone again. She finishes and sits for a minute. I don't want to come in to her. I want her to be ready and let me know. I grab her hand and squeeze it lightly.
  "I'm ready to talk. What do you want to know?" She asks settling her eyes on our intertwined hands.
  "Everything from the first second to the last. Please?" I say. I want to know everything about what happened and what she's thinking.
  "I went out side to answer your call and I heard your dad speak. I dropped the phone and kinda went into shock. I couldn't scream. I was shoved into an SUV. I was squished in between Ralf and some other guy. They blind folded me and then.." she trails off biting her lip. I pull her into my lap and she continues, "they touched me a little too much in places. Then tired my hands up." I stiffen at her words.
  "I'm gonna kill them." I say with a tight clenched jaw.
  "Want me to continue?" She asks softly cresting my cheek to calm me. I slightly nod and she continues.
  "The took me inside and tied me to a chair for a few hours with a radio as my only entertainment. Then dinner came and I got to eat and freshen up. I couldn't sleep at night. I got up and you dad came in my room. When he calls me darling it makes me want to burn my skin. He'll touch my cheek too which is weird. Anyway he came in and I ended up crying myself to sleep. I had breakfast with your dad." She says pausing. She takes a minute to finish.
  "Things changed when I woke up. At breakfast your dad was kinda nice. I got treated nicely, more free privileges. Until you showed up." She states.
"What did you and my dad talk about?" I ask.
"The engagement, you, and kinda your work field." She says.
  "I see. What happened when I showed up?" I ask.
  "I was lead back to my room and tapped up. Ralf had the switch blade. Did you see the video?" She asks.
  "It was a live video. My dad used you as a way to taunt me into his contract." I says.
  "What contract?" She asks sitting up a little more.
  "I had to give Victoria back to my dad and I need to drop the restraining order. I also need to work with my dad and the business. I'll still get time with you it's in the contract." I say rushed. I can feel Sarah go still and cold in my arms.
  "Oh." Is all she says before looking away.
  "I wasn't supposed to tell you this. My dad said there would be consequences if he finds out. I couldn't lie to you. You deserved to truth." I say.
  "It's fine." She shrugs.
  "Sarah, it's okay if it's not. I get it. I really do. Just listen to me. I'm gonna keep you safe. I promise." I says pulling her close to my chest.
  "Okay and it's not okay. I was scared to death. I get that you had to do it though. This is our reality now." She says muffled against my chest.
"I'm really sorry. I wish I could have prevented this." I say. I wish I never would have told Sarah to go to the city.
"It's okay. I'm just glad I'm back in your arms." She says holding on tighter.
"I am too." I say kissing the top of her head. We stay like this for a while until I realize Sarah is a sleep. I lay her down and cuddle her close to me. I got my baby back.
